$5 Bonus Cashback on $50 Spend at Amazon on All Categories @ Cashrewards (Activation Required)

Hi everyone. A nice bonus when you activate then spend $50 or more in one transaction at Amazon. We've increased some categories to 20% with a $30 member cap, and all tiers have a cashback component today so all categories are eligible (see terms below). Make sure you clear your Amazon cart before clicking/tapping 'Shop Now' from Cashrewards. Thanks for your support as always. Stay safe, and enjoy :)


Please read the following terms & tips carefully:

  1. To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, you must first activate the promotion on this page, then shop as normal via Amazon Australia at Cashrewards.
  2. After activation, transaction must be made between 10am AEST 1 June 2023 and 11:59pm AEST 1 June 2023.
  3. Bonus is eligible on qualifying purchases of AUD $50 in a single transaction. Qualifying purchase price is calculated inclusive of GST, after any discounts, but excludes any shipping costs. Sales may report to Cashrewards ex-GST so the purchase amount shown in your account may be less than $50 - you will still be eligible for the bonus if the actual qualifying purchase price is $50 or more.
  4. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as pending upon activation of this offer. Under some conditions there may be a delay of up to 60 minutes for the bonus to show in your account after activation.
  5. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of any associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  6. Bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  7. Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  8. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  9. Bonus is paid on eligible purchases, excluding delivery, taxes & GST.
  10. Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Bonus is eligible for:

11. Items added to cart after clicking from Cashrewards.
12. Purchases of products paid with gift cards.
13. The first (new) Subscribe & Save order. Subsequent orders are ineligible.
14. Pre-orders, but only if the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.

Bonus is ineligible on the following:

15. Purchase of vouchers, gift cards, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, mobile apps, Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals.
16. Second and subsequent Subscribe & Save orders (only first Subscribe & Save orders are eligible).
17. Purchases paid with any Amazon credit as partial or full payment.
18. Use of any promotional codes entered manually in Amazon's 'Promotion Code' field.
19. Items added to cart prior to clicking from Cashrewards.
20. Items purchased from your Amazon wish list or 'saved for later' list.
21. Items that are cancelled, returned, exchanged or refunded.
22. GST, other taxes and delivery fees.
23. Fraudulent transactions.


Handy tips:

Amazon tracking typically takes 1-3 days to report into accounts (Amazon tracking is not instant). Do not activate the bonus unless you intend using it - it will decline after 14 days unless a qualifying purchase is made. For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost.           • @tightarse: Update: I am extremely satisfied with TA's excellent customer service. My untracked purchase claim was refused due to categorisation mismatches and initial rep poorly addressed my concerns. Fortunately, TA educated me on how to confirm Amazon's categorisation of an item. He has kindly credited me with the cashback when he didn't need to do so. Thanks very much.

          Yes that function often does not work you would need to email the support most of the times with details so they can lodge the claim manually if it doesnt track

        It could be worse. You could be chasing Shopback for every single upsized or Westpac promo cashback, despite showing all the evidence in a screen recorded video of the transaction, and then continue fighting for it after they said it would be approved, but they it was really just rejected all over again.

  • Didn't get the tick on the extension to say that the tracking was activated, but the link had a cashrewards part in it. Will my order track? Used the giftcard from the previous $5 off 50.

        Usually when I use the chrome extension, there's something that shows the tracking is activated. But I guess it's fine, If it doesn't go through I'll contact TA directly. Thanks.

  • I’d stay clear from CashRewards, still waiting $171 to appear on my account as transaction in Pending state since August last year. Support is not helpful.

      Over the years of using CR there's probably been like 2 transactions of mine that didn't track and support were always quick to help out.

      Definitely reach out to TA as theguyrules mentioned, easy point of escalation.

      • Lately my Chemist warehouse purchase always didn't track, have to Send Claim, not sure why, already disabled ad blocker, may needs to use incognito next time.

          I exclusively use the mobile app just to make sure any plugins aren't messing with it which seems to help.

      • In my case support requested receipt and added transaction manually but it’s been sitting like that very long time, I’ve contacted them few times since then but it’s still pending.

        • Use your click history to send claim, so far I have no problem.

    If you purchase the same item as in your wishlist but not from the wishlist will the discount apply? If you remove the item from your wishlist will it apply?

        They want unique clicks so just remove it from your wish list and then buy as per normal.

      Remember the item, remove it from wishlist and re-search the item manually. That has always worked for me.

      If you removed the item from your wishlist, click on the tracking link and then purchase, it will track because that is how I usually do it. Haven't tried purchasing the item using the product page while it is in my wishlist as I didn't want to risk it not tracking.

    • Also want to know. After activation I used cashrewards app went to amazon, searched for product, added to cart and checked out. Found out that the time was on my "save for later" list. Will I get the bonus?

      • @tightarse can you please confirm if this scenario will work, or will I have to cancel the order (again :( ) and reorder without item being in wishlist.

          Provided you did the above after clicking out from CR you'll be fine, irrespective of it previously being in your wishlist (ie don't purchase straight from your wishlist, but search instead). Hope this helps.

    How does the subscribe and save criteria work?

    If i've done S&S on a product before and then cancelled a month ago.

    And if i do a fresh S&S on that same product, will it qualify for cashback? Or is that not considered a first S&S already?

          Amazon GC redeemed = Gift Card Balance.
          Amazon credit is something else entirely.
          Also if you come across an item with a x% discount which you have to tick on the item page, that should still be ok too making it stackable.

    What does everyone buy? I am finding it hard to think of $50 worth items that I will need for a routine use.

      If you cancel one item, the other item must be $50 or more in order to get the bonus. You still receive cashback on top, per the terms. Thanks.

        Yeah I saw that, but with seller coupons, you don't actually type anything in the promotion field. It just gets automatically applied.

  • I activated this on CR this morning & then made my purchases on Amazon

    I just went back to CR now & there was the offer again to activate(which i activated again)

    Hope this dosent affect my cashack

    • You can't activate twice - once you've activated, the button disappears. Are you sure you weren't logged into a different account second time around? Note that activation must occur prior to click & purchase times. Thanks.

      • The button does not disappear. You can click on it again but it tells you you've already activated this offer

        • Have not seen this before and certainly unable to replicate. What browser are you using, and any chance you can please screen record and send to me? Once you activate the offer, you should only see the 'Shop Now' button driving you to the Amazon page on Cashrewards (desktop browser screenshot here). Also, is there a $5 pending amount in your CR account dated today? Thanks.

      • Yeah i definitely activated the offer this morning (on Chrome), it showed on the screen that it was activated - i went to click through to amazon and i got a warning from CR that it might not get tracked as there is an ad blocker on chrome so I then went to cr on ms edge and clicked through to amazon & made the purchase

        No biggie - I have just cancelled the order and re ordered just to be 100% sure

          • @tightarse: i activated the offer this morning on chrome, it definitely said it was activated - i went to click through to amazon but got the warning from cr that it might not track because of adblock

            I then closed chrome and went to CR website via ms edge & clicked through to amazon & made my purchase

            So basically i activated the offer via chrome but made the purchase via ms edge

            I only noticed the offer again when i went to CR website this afternoon via ms edge - i thought that was strange as i already activated it this morning.

            to be sure i clicked the activate button again, cancelled this mornings purchase & repurchased again (all on ms edge this time)

            I think both of these cases are due to the small lag that can happen when the promo page loads. It does an async callback to find the activation status of the CR user for the promo. Until the result comes back, the page shows that the user has not activated the promo.

            I think the best way to check is to see if there is a $5 promo entry that is pending.
