So Nvidia's stock just shot up 25% on the back of their AI pivot, and they just joined the trillion dollar club along with Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon. Jensen laughing all the way to the leather jacket factory. For all of us HODLing for cheaper GPUs and hoping they'd be forced to drop prices after the crypto crash, it's time bend the knee. Looks like overpriced cards are here to stay.

Also, don't use the 'cost of living' card, it's a bit hypocrital on Ozbargain, a site devoted to maximising discretionary spending. It's also very easy to see what users are happy to spend their non-food money on.

I dunno, I'm a fan of the Cramer theory here. Jimmy-boy calls Nvidia a loser company back in September 2022, and the Inverse Cramer curse kicks in and the stock jumps 200%.
On the other hand, he's started shilling it again just the other day too, so it will be interesting to see what happens next. Inverse Cramer giveth and Inverse Cramer taketh.
Its a bubble, Nvidia product suite hasn't changed, AI today is what 'video calling' was during covid. People couldn't buy zoom stock quick enough. AI is a bit like that today. Look at what happened to zoom.

Boughy Radeon RX 6600xt for 399 last december. Probably will serve me well for another 3-5 years as I have a backlog of videogames since 2017 to finish. No money to leather jacket from me for sure!
That's a lot of leather jackets. As for gaming and prices, if no one wants to cater to the cheaper, but higher volume market, then the used market will.
