Yeah, sure triple fans on a 64bit wide memory bus GPU.

If only they spent 1/2 as much time designing better cooling for their higher-end devices.

    • +3

these are probably the same coolers they use on higher end models.

  • this should of been the launch price, not bad for a super budget 1080p gaming pc,

  • Not many 6700 on special.

  • Finally. This is more reasonable.

Infinitely better than a GT 1030, but you might as well save up another hundred bucks and get a 6600. For Granny's computer only, at least it will be low-power and has hardware AV1 decoding etc.

    • +2

Since when does 6500xt support AV1 decoding?

      • +1

        Whoops, you're right!

    • +1

This card actually lacks a hardware encoder, so not even h264 is supported. Meaning it's not quite suitable for HTPC purposes.

  • +3

This card is just unnecessarily long considering how little power it draws. It's about 40mm longer than the Ventus 2x cards.

  • +3

    for that 720p gaming goodness… if a 7600/4060Ti is 1080p class…

    • It's still a 1080p card, in the budget side of things all at 1/6th the cost of a 4060ti.

Edit. Can play the Witcher 3 ultra at 60fps. The people buying a $160 GPU can't afford a $60 game, they are buying gog sales for 5 bucks.

      • Lol i meant it as more of a stab at the bullshit AMD and Nvidia are pulling with their new releases and calling them 1080p cards…. Even when a complete garbage of a card like this one can be called a 1080p card.

There you go HODLers. Slake your thirst.

I love drinking water from the toilet bowl!

  • Long card but reasonable price.

  • why put 3 fans on this level of cards???

  • +1

Note: this card performs even worse if you're on a pcie 3.0 system (~20% slower) aka the system anyone on this kind of budget will be on which is why this card is rubbish.

Unfortunately the low end market is dead, nothing besides used/refurbed gpus and ewaste left (gt1030s for 150 bucks???).

A refurbished rx580 is faster, doesn't have any downsides on pcie 3.0, has more vram and is overall faster too along with a gpu encoder.

Same seller used to have 6600 for ~$200 as well which would be better value but they all sold out unfortunately.

  • NOTE: This card only has one hdmi and one display port.

Glad I noticed that before buying.

    I'm getting a 2nd hand rx580 instead.

reason: my 280x is dying.. only has legacy drivers now.. and i need dx12
    (z87 mobo pcie 3.0, i5-4750 cpu)

If your budget can extend to $200+, I've noticed that the RX 5700 XT sometimes has auctions ending in the $200~$230 price range. This card used to be AMD's top tier class back in 2019 and it has similar performance to a RTX 3060.

      See Sold listings https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=5700xt&_sa…

      • good advice cheers!

will consider it.. although i typically hate auction buys on ebay :) doesn't gel with my adhd

        • bought a 5700xt off marketplace.
          seller showed it stress testing/warm.

benchmarks 3x+ better than my 280x..
          so quiet/efficient in comparison.

thanks again scrimshaw you bloody legend :)

  • If I just need a card that will take two 4K monitors at 120Hz/144Hz, which card should I get? No gaming, just normal office and video use.

  • 120Hz/144Hz, which card should I get? No gaming, just normal office and video use.

No gaming why you want 120Hz/144Hz?
