Nikon Z 24-70 2.8

Hi all,

After shooting as a hobby for many years I've finally started paid photoshoots. I'm using a Z 50 at the moment but want to one day move to full frame. I have my eyes on the Nikon 24-70 2.8 but missed out on that one time it dropped to $1999. Was wondering what the best way is to avoid paying full price for this lens? Wait for a sale? Wait for a Cashback program from Nikon? Combination of both?

Would love to hear how you got yours.
