I think it's still there. My advice for all of these Amazon JP items is to search for the item, in this case, search for "PB Swiss Tools PB 210H-6 RB Hex Key Set rainbow".
You'll see that there are 2 new offers, one of which is $29.57. Click on that and if the Amazon JP price doesn't show, refresh the whole page and try again until the JP link shows.

    Ball ended keys are better.

    • Yup pretty much universally.

When Park Tool changed their ball ends to straight there was a massive outcry about it online.

As long as the metal is good quality ball ends are just better for most cases

what's the different between straight and ball ends and why is the latter better?

        • +3

Sometimes you can't get to the fastener with a straight end tool. You can approach them at an angle with the ball end ones. The ball end ones can break off though so you do need to be a little careful. Better quality tools will lessen the chances of breakages though.

I have straight end ones but want to buy ball end ones eventually. I think even if I get ball end tools, I'll only use them if I need to and stick with the straight end ones most of the time.

          • @ozbs25: That's exactly it. Also, with ball ends when approaching at an angle there is a chance of slipping and/or rounding the bolt if it is soft, and again higher quality tools alleviate this issue.

I have some Wera ones from Ozb and pretty happy with them.
