It’s not supposed to compare to those beers, it’s a totally different style of stout. Irish dry stout vs the other myriad of stout styles.
I don’t want my xpa to taste like a triple ipa just because they’re both hoppy ales; there’s a time and a place for both, I think.

Good luck getting a large can of anything for $3 from the snooty hipsters at MBD mate…some of the stuff they sell is ten times the price, literally.
Perfect timing. BWS generally sell these for $3 at the start of winter. I buy these cans to use when making beef stews. 🙂

@jv: Exactly my point. You can buy 1 for $3 (or 6 for $18 if you want) whenever, wherever on the BWS website but the app has literally nearly the entire screen promoting deals such as this that are no better and actually kind of worse because you need to buy 6.
