Thanks OP, bought 2. One for each potential-wife

    • did you check to see if they do returns first?

      • +5

        buy now, research later

        • Dont you mean buy now regret later?

      • You can keep in your toolbox as a glass cutter.

  • -2

good to see the diamond industry concerned about 'sustainability' ….lol!

    • +2

Its lab grown, how is that not sustainable

      • +2

pretty hilarious that an industry built on pure exploitation has decided to go 'sustainable'…whatever the hell that means in the context of extorbitantly priced rare gemstones

    • +4

The diamond industry has tried to emphasise the importance of naturally occurring diamonds for sentimental value. These lab grown diamonds are literally competing with the diamond industry.

      • They're not really. Real diamonds are much more expensive than lab grown ones. Anywhere from 2x to 10x more in fact.

        • +4

          It's the suffering that counts.

  • Is this for male or female?

  • +1

I'm personally hoping if I buy my wife something from Tiffany's shell respond with a EMTB with a similar values.

    • +2

Go on, buy yourself that electric mountain bike mate you deserve it

    • +1

      @GoldenDragon888 - What's an EMTB?

Always looking for more ways to spice up our bedroom activities.

  • +1

    Lab Grown Diamond, what?

    • +8

Synthetic diamonds are not new, they are generally better quality and clarity. Blood diamond companies will convince you that their product is more romantic, they are over 1 billion years old!
People buy caged eggs too, when they know they shouldn't/

      • What would come up on a diamond test?

      • +6

Lab Grown Diamonds are grown using a natural diamond from the ground and they grow the diamonds in a high pressure chamber simulating the same pressure and gases diamond endure naturally on earth.

It's definitely not synthetic. Synthetic stones are cubic zirconia or moissanite.

        • +2

Synthetic as in synthetically created, not synthetic material - its made from Carbon.
And yes, you need a diamond "seed" and carbon for high-pressure/temp diamond creation.

        • Moisannite is naturally occurring at meteor impact sites? Supposedly reflects better than diamond..

    • have you been living under a rock in the last few years?

      • Has the rock crushed you into a naturally occurring ozbargainer?

  • Not a bad deal. Any other deals for people who are already married?

  • +6

Hoping my wife buys me one

    • +3

Or my wifes boyfriend at least

  • Any bargains?

Russia produces the most diamonds in the world. Double the production of the next largest producer:

Help end the war by buying Australian made diamonds and avoiding products that feed conflicts.

    • +5

Are they even real diamonds if they're not blood diamonds?

    • +1

you heard it here first folks!
together we can end the bloodshed just by buying these diamonds….!

  • The ring!

  • +1

1ct hmm, no matter how big it is wives always want bigger one.

  • +1

The point of lab grown was it'll be less expensive. 10% of the price? 😂

  • Op, from your website,
"All of our lab grown diamonds are certified."
Please detail exactly what this means and who does the certification.
Also, where do the diamonds come from?

    • IGI certified

  • +1

Great product, only downside is that they don't hold their value like a blood/mined diamond.

    • +3

Sorry mate. If the only thing that makes something valuable is that someone was exploited for it, then I've got to question your ethics

      • +2

SPOILER ALERT I am not the market, so I don't dictate the value all by myself.

  • +1

Is this the new term for cubic zirconia?

  • Is this cheaper than bluenile? 10 years ago i did bit of research bluenile seems lot more cheaper than any Australian jewellery store

    • +1

Check out the website, you will see the prices are quite competitive.

      • So if this was valued by an independent, what would the diamond be worth?

  • +1

The feminists don't need us men giving them rings anymore. They are independent.

    • Just like a contractor, you need to engage their exclusive services with payment or barter of goods. As per the old saying:

If you want it, then you should have put a ring on it

    • This is true… I purchased a new set of bridal rings for myself when I lost weight. I got exactly what I want. My husband doesn’t choose the clothes I wear, so why should he choose the rings I wear?

  • -5

Is this applicable to gender neutral person?

  • +2

Lab grown diamonds are the way to go, why the hell would an ozbargainer pay for a blood diamond?!

Not sure why people screw around with white gold though - platinum is not much more expensive and will cost much less over the long haul. Hint, it's a bad sign if a ring needs a care package because the seller knows it will require replating every few years.

I went with Dream Diamonds and we couldn't be happier.

    • +1

I second this, I was in SA for work and I was able to pick up a beautiful natural diamond (GIA, no inclusions, perfect color and cut) at a (profanity) amazing price.

These days given the shoot in prices, lab grown diamonds are just as amazing. Couldn't fault nor beat their value.

  • -1

"White gold" is a great way to sell silver

  • +1

what size do i get? any ring sizer deals?

  • -1

Well, price is seems good comparing to real diamond with stated quality, but won’t purchase this if she finds out this is the lab grown diamond then you know what will happen. Also, do you really want to start second half of your life with fake diamond? No for me. Even if I have to down size the diamond, will go for genuine diamonds with GIA certificate.

    • +1

if she finds out this is the lab grown diamond

      You're totally missing the point.

If you have a budget of $2300 then this 1ct stone is way way bigger than the (tiny) blood diamond you'd get for your cash.

It doesn't exist to try and pass off as a blood diamond - for the obvious reason your partner is going to know you couldn't afford a $50,000 stone…

      • Not the only point they're missing…

      • Maybe you can pay $50,000 for this lab grown diamond if the price is all your woman cares about.
Diamond prices are controlled by DeBeers. If you let the market determine the price then it will probably cost less than lab grown. Screw DeBeers! They are the cause of blood diamonds! They want to keep Africans fighting each other.

    • We see Lab Grown Diamonds are Perfect for those looking for a budget-friendly option and other ethical reasons. We highly recommend to start a conversation with your partner before you purchase a Lab Grown or Mined Diamond.

  • +1

Time to get a 2nd wife with much lower cost.

  • Do me synthetic 22 Ct gold and me shall consider bro 😘

  • I would rather buy gold as these synthetic diamonds are originally for industrial purposes and way much cheaper than today's price as they are now broadly sold as a commercial product (i.e., grown diamond)… But, again that's only my personal choice, and am not targeting any brand names.

  • whats this used for?

  • Is this a triple x diamond?

    • Yes the lab grown diamond is an excellent cut , symmetry and polish.

      • Can you share if this will be a cvt diamond?

  • Any deals on 2+Ct? Or buying 2x2Ct rings? And no I am not proposing to 2 people.

  • What happened to stock ID 64379793 (Round 2.36 D VS1) on your website? Had it in my cart for $75000 and after I messaged you
"What about for stock ID 64379793 (Round 2.36 D VS1) with Olivia knife edge 6 prong white 18k? Thanks"
    It's now gone!
