Shokz Open Run Pro $229 (Was $269) (Extra 5% off from 29/5) & Free Shipping @ Shokz AU

100
EOFYEXTRA5

Looks like Shokz is running a summer sale from 29th May to 7th June with a spin to win competition (with unlimited trials as long as u have lots of spam emails)

The lucky wheel does seem to be biased towards the 5% off code but if you are lucky or try enough, you might win a 50% or 100% shokz open run headphone or 12 dollars spotify gift card.

Other items are on sale as well: (all comes with free charging cable….every earphone you buy anywhere, you should be given a free cable… thats just my opinion)
Open Run - $189
Open Move - $109
Open Swim - $186

  • If you're a cyclist, like the Garmin Varia these are pretty much a must have (in my opinion)

    • -2

I found mine were almost useless for making calls due to wind noise in the mic when cycling. Have you not had this issue?

      • +1

I don't make calls on the bike

  • I just use Bose in aware mode

  • I use these on my long runs. Pretty happy with the product. Its an essential gear when I run.

Ran half marathons and battery life is about low-medium after 2hrs. About to test it out on a full marathon. Hope it will last 4-5 hrs.

    I have the Mini Pro.

  • My personal experience with Shokz:

I was initially a big fan of Shokz; I use it for calls, online meetings, long runs and cyclings. I carry it every day.

I owned two pairs in the past four years and swapped for two after the product was faulty (rattle, not charging - both during warranty).

Their customer service quickly responds and replaces it in about 1-2 weeks.

Recently the replacement had a charging issue again right after the warranty, so I am starting to question the quality of the product and think about a new pair.

Due to the Shokz price jump and no exciting features on the new models, I decided to go for Haylou instead:

Thanks for this video that gives me what I want to know: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcnC4WQXVrA&ab_channel=Andy%….

My choice for this type of product:

    1. Being aware surrounding is the most important; I don't expect premium audio quality during walking, running or cycling.
    2. Clear phone calls in a noisy environment, such as a bus or train
    3. Easy to carry and light rain & sweatproof

A plus feature I think Haylou made well is that it can connect two devices simultaneously. After trying, I think it is a bit buggy but workable.

I hope both products can improve in the future and provide a way for a firmware upgrade to fix software issues.

  • Officeworks is further 5% off with price beat currently (till they match), no stock locally for me, but they were happy to send out from the warehouse. Note they don't have the same range of colours.

  • Check the email you used for the wheel and they might have sent you a code for 10% in your first purchase. I used that instead of the 5% from the wheel.
