Is this really a deal 🤔

    • I don’t think so, Costco’s deal lower than that, and they are frequently dealing with this bundle.

    Crazy rrp

Hmmm im on the hunt, though seems like the old model. The smart 1 or io often go half price at coles feels better value 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • The models don’t really differ that much. LiIon battery is a plus with this one. I never use modes, not even sure why they exist.

Don't bother with the Bluetooth models, it's a gimmick. The most useful feature is when the handle buzzes every 30 seconds to alert you to change quadrant, and then a rapid buzz at the end of the two minutes.

While I can't comment on this specific unit, I can vouch for the longevity of Oral B's brushes in general; I had a (gimmicky Bluetooth) model that did me well for many years. Eventually the base around the bottom of the brush came away and the rubber grip started to break down. Had a battery fault at one point, all it needed was a long, long time on the charger and it sorted itself out.

    • Mine is about 3 years old and just recently stopped charging. Not sure whether it's a dud battery, broken charger contact or just worn out. Probably not even worth trying to fix it..

      • Try connecting a 9v battery to the postitive and negative for half a second and then see if it will take a charge, that works for old phone batteries that haven'nt been charged in a long time, not sure if it applies to your problem though.

These toothbrushes all charge wirelessly through inductive charging. The toothbrush is sealed to protect battery, motor and electronics from water.

          • +1

@Quarn: These have a very thin wire for induction charging, which can break inside the brush.
I’ve had this happen twice - the fix is to pull it apart (which is rather simple) and dab it where it counts with a soldering iron.

          • @Quarn: Ok, Thanks for the info.

      For two?

  • Can this be used as a portable bidet?

  • Pro 700 is half price at $49

    fantastic deal

    • +3

500/700/800 (essentially the same toothbrush) have an NiMh battery, the Smart 5 is Li-ion.

Big difference in charge to charge longevity, shorter charging speed, pressure sensor etc etc. $49 v ~$72.25 seems about right…

      • +1

700 has pressure sensor and 3d cleaning as opposed to lower versions, and I don't need 2, so $49 it is

charging speed? it's used twice a day, sure 12h is enough?

All good points, I needed 2 so it was a good deal for me

Anyone tested the Aquasonic brand? far away from Oral B and Phillips or decent competitor?

  • this is not a deal, would downvote if i could

    • OK please save me some time where is a good deal for these?
