"Gaming" Chair for Brothers Birthday - Battle Bull?

Hello. If I can have some help with my brothers birthday present. I want to get him a chair for his PC (Gaming web browsing etc) there is days where here's on it for hours on end, other days its 2 hours max.

He is about 174cms tall and about 80kg. He is coming from this: https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/bathurst-c… so I feel ANYTHING would be an improvement. I REALLY cant justify 700 bucks on a chair… I was hoping for something under $300, but almost feel that is unrealistic. Keen to hear peoples thoughts. Cost of living is real so Id rather keep my kidneys please.

I sit one of these too, and honestly, between a sore butt, nails piercing your arms, wonky arms and peeling leather its not fun- I kinda woulda have expected juuuustt a little more then 3 years wear out of these but it is what it is…

I find that PU leather peels all the time, we've had a few and they break, and I cant afford genuine leather… So I was actually thinking about going for a material….

Everyone keeps saying Secret labs Evo in the soft weave, but honestly I cant justify or afford that money…..

I've seen an alternative Battle bull Vaporweave - Which ill be honest, is quite pricey. His birthday is the end of July so I can maybe wait for a special at EOFY….

Does anyone have any other recommendations or feedback of the battle bull?

  • AKRacing K7 gaming chair is good, I've owned for a few years. Fabric material so no peeling, price is reasonable too compared to similar although a little over your budget

    • I wish they would give me more info on what a "adjustable lumbar pillow" means. Is that built into the chair like a car seat? How can an ordinary pillow be adjusted?

      • Pillow can be removed, its got straps that wrap around the chair so you can move it up and down

  • can vouch for this

not too sure if the delivery ETA is accurate but I have one of these and it has been great for the last two years that i've had mine

    • Thats suede… How does that hold up, they seems to have suede and Alcantara… Interesting

      • I haven't had any problems with mine, used daily for 2 years now for roughly 6hrs a day

        • Wonder what the difference is between the ev10 and ev12

Yikes i dont like what people say… I guess this is whats happens when everyone has different opinions

  • +2

I'd go for a second hand office chair…

  • Who are his favourite streamers? Maybe you can find a chair that looks a bit like the chair they use.

    • He doesnt really follow streamers more… Discord with a bunch of mates

  • I like my ikea JÄRVFJÄLLET. Supportive, and comfortable recline. The in-store leather model is now at $350, should be able to pick up a used for $150 if that's an option. The older ones are cloth.
