My iphone 12 mini lost 2% battery while I opened and read that comment.

      • Do they even have any iPhone 13 mini?

        • +1

They only have iPhone 12 mini right now, but I'm hoping iPhone 13 mini will be released in the coming months.

Makes me cry seeing what is essential 384gb of storage being sold for $500. Probably costs them under $50 in flash.

I know Apple aren't the only ones that do this, but my god they are the worst

    • I wanted to cling to my 512gb micro SD card when I cracked my s10+, so I picked up an as new used s20Ultra.

I want the extra storage, but I refuse to pay the rip off rate that they charge for it.

    • It'd be less. 1TB NVME retailing at <100$ means they are probably paying <20$ for that 400GB, if not less given their volume.

Apple's pricing is a joke, they charge it because people pay it :/

iphone 15 will have usbc, i've seen so many deals since this was revealed

my guess, moving old stock now in anticipation everyone wants the latest model. lightning is slow and dead

Am I the minority here? I haven’t plugged an iPhone into a computer for at least the past 4 or 5 years. Transfer speeds means nothing to me and the port is only used to charge so whether it’s lighting or USBC doesn’t bother me

Apple keep playing up the iPhone's video shooting capabilities with 4K ProRes, currently the only way to get that off your phone is via airdrop, USB 2.0 lightning cable, if they want to get serious about transferring 500GB-1TB of video off an iPhone, they really need to replace the Lightning port with a higher speed solution.

        • Ah I see, I’m not really into video and didn’t think of that.

          • @Apegripfella: For the average Joe it won’t make any difference I’d think, but if you’re buying the pro especially you should expect good performance I’d think.

I have a billion usb c devices and chargers laying around, as do most people. The chance others have iphone chargers are slimmer, let alone other devices. It just makes sense to align them with the global standards and also their other devices charging standards which is usb c. I don't want to buy more chargers that only work for my phone.
