I'm looking for something I can whip open when I get back to my car to invoice clients.
I was thinking of the Surface Pro 9 and piggybacking my data off the phone.
I'm also curious if the surface pro is stable enough for my lap.
Lastly, how often do the Surface Pros go on sale, I feel like it use to be quite often … but no so much anymore?
What about just using your phone, Xero app or similar must let you generate invoices?
I have a Locksmith program that needs to run off x86.
My invoicing program is webbased , but I'm trying to kill two birds with one tablet/pc
I use a Surface Pro for invoicing when out and about (using Zoho which is web-based), I just hotspot to my phone and it works a treat.
I could use my phone but I personally find phone screens far too small for work tasks (yes even the bigger ones) and slows down my productivity, so a 13 to 15" screen is a must in my case.
Of course, any laptop or Surface device will do that job, just what you feel comfortable with, in your vehicle.
Sounds like literally any laptop that runs your required software would do. What are we missing?
You don't need a Surface Pro 9 for this. Even a Pro 3 from 10 years ago would work fine.
I suggest the minimum sp5-6 with i5 8gb ram
Most tradies i see these days just do it off their iphone - sometimes with one of those square tablets. depends how much original content you want to type in or if you just have a catalogue of stuff you want to select from.
Does your software run as a web app (i.e in the browser), exist as a mobile app or is it strictly a windows x86 application?
If it's web / app based you could just use an iPad or android tablet with LTE built in and you wouldn't need to hotspot.
