Crystal series Samsung TVs are one of the lowest quality of their lineup
I've only ever purchased Crystal series and had no issues with the quality of the tvs.

Are Samsung more unreliable because they have made it so thin? This difference is a bit of a joke
It's the way they're lit from the edges I believe. I recently bought a 43" BU8000 on clearance for the bedroom wall purely due to how thin it is.
