    From the description on Amazon…

The product is new and may not come sealed.

    • better than second but sealed

      • +2

Gone are the days when the things came sealed…

        • Wait till it comes in a paper wrap instead

Thank god, just adding more waste to the world.

Yeah I read that, however, someone said on another post recently that first party Nintendo games don't come sealed.

See me get negged here for saying my Wario didn't come sealed.

      • It's more than first party games now it seems. My Monster Hunter Rise didn't come sealed either.

JB clerk groaned before explaining it to me when I asked lol.

        • +1

Ha, yeah. My tears copy certainly wasn't sealed. They probably get asked it all the time.

I am sitting here, however, looking at Mario Kart 8 and Mario Odyssey both sealed. So I guess they only did this for more recent games!

          • @Budju: Groaning and belittling their clientele is in the job description of a JB HiFi employee.

            • @Barry off EastEnders: lol I do get some pretty bad vibes from the people working there sometimes.

The Zelda coin lured me in still.

    • most likely not seals because its a Nintendo game. You will find it hard to get any nintendo game seals from any store, if its made by nintendo as the developer then it won't be sealed if its a third party developer then yes it will be sealed.

      • Strangely Mariokart 8 and Mario Odyssey copies both sealed right next to me

Maybe it's only newer first party games

buy directly from nintendo Australia an none of there products are sealed, also eb games, big W even gamesmen none have been sealed on nintendo made games, if it has been seal for you the company selling it must have wraped it.

          • @kungfuman: Ah right. I think I got both these from EB games ebay, but then the Metroid copy was not sealed.

            It's a damn mystery lol

I’m pretty sure you can homebrew the switch and download it for free, but I’m not going to talk about that

    • OLED models fixed that I think.

      • -2

That’s like saying Microsoft fixed Windows OS

      • You can buy a sketchy illegal modchip to jailbreak the OLED, however they're usually pretty pricey and you need decent soldering skills and/or someone to solder it for you. It wouldnt be much more expensive to just straight up buy a regular switch instead

    • Isn't that only on the first release model? If it wasn't I would have hundreds of games downloaded by now.

      • +1

The first release model has the hardware exploit that apparently cannot be patched out. It is possible that other models have software exploits that get discovered and eventually patched.

    • What's your point?

  • Lots of people selling this… is it worth getting?

Do you want to make Kazuya beat the hell out of characters like Pikachu, Pacman, Banjo & Kazooie, the Minecraft protagonists and Snake? If yes, then get it.

    • +1

I think it’s only worth it if you like this type of game or if you have someone to play with. Got this for me and my son and we only played for a few weeks.

    • +1
    • Lots of fun to get some friends together and play it, wouldn't recommend it if you plan to play it just by yourself.

      • The single player campaign is normally alright.

But it's definitely best played with friends.

    Thanks OP, grabbed one

Best value proposition in all of gaming, in my opinion. I really enjoyed playing this solo and then it's also a great party game.

    • +1

Absolutely. If you could only own one game, this would be it.
