You can purchase it as a gift, then use it on your account.
You can't. Purchasing a gift and storing it in your gift inventory to redeem later hasn't been possible for 6 years.

What you can do is remove the game(s) you already own from your account and then purchase the bundle. (if you find that it still offers good value)
https://help.steampowered.com/en/
- "Games, Software, etc."
- Search for and select the game you already own
- "I want to permanently remove this game from my account"
- "OK, remove the listed games from my account permanently"
I think some people tried this for a similar EA bundle yesterday and it didn't work.
@ozbs25: I can confirm that it definitely works with this BioWare bundle. I removed "Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition" from my account and then purchased the bundle without any further issues.
I can't say for sure why people are having issues with the EA Racing bundle, but if they took part in either of the Free Weekend promotions last year I suspect those entries also need to be removed.
- Need for Speed™ Heat Free Weekend - Sep 2022
- Need for Speed™ Payback Free Weekend - Sep 2022
@HomeAlone: Ok. Thanks for trying and getting back to us. That's the game I own (on steam) too. Maybe if I actually played some of the games I own and didn't have half the games somewhere else I'd get this bundle too. Now that it looks like it works, it's definitely worth a upvote. 👍
@HomeAlone: I removed it from mine as well, but it still told me I couldn’t purchase it because I owned a removed copy of dragon age
@XxBargainHuntaxX: Strange. Was your Dragon Age purchased directly through Steam or activated with a key? (mine was a key)
@HomeAlone: Steam says I’ve owned it since 2013, so honestly I’ve got no earthly idea
@XxBargainHuntaxX: https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/
If you look for it on that page it will say either "Steam Store" or "Retail" next to it.
BTW, the permanent removal is not permanent. You can get your game back easily.
https://help.steampowered.com/en/
- "Games, Software, etc."
- Search for and select the game you removed
- "It's not in my library"
- "Restore the previously removed package to my account"
edit: Here's a method that apparently works for everyone, but requires 2 Steam accounts.
https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/MUYW4/must-buy-togethe…
- "Permanently delete" games from your Steam account
- Buy the bundle as a gift, from a second Steam account to your main account
- Do not accept the gift yet
- Restore the deleted games back to your account
- Accept the gift
@HomeAlone: Steam Store, that might be the problem. All good though, I can live without this bundle hahaha
@HomeAlone: Hmm. Yeah, those were the messages people were getting yesterday too.
Thanks so much for this, I was able to get the bundle following the above. Appreciate it!
Worth it for ME alone
Some top notch games in there but you'll need a solid 2 months to play them.
haha, so true. only realised this as I got older :-(
ahhh the good old days when i dreamed of growing up, moving out, and playing all day.
This definitely hits a nerve. I've grown up, moved out, and have a high-end PC, but all I ever want to do after work these days is… nothing. But hey, at least I still get a kick out of collecting hundreds of games I'll never play.
This is the way.
When I’m 65 in 40 years I’ll play the shit out of these games fr
@XxBargainHuntaxX: In 40 years when you’re 65, you’ll probably still have another 25 years before you get to retire with a pension.
@SanguinarySeraph: You right, I’ll kill myself instead just like daddy Trudeau wants
yes, this, exactly :-(
when i do sit down to play, i cbb playing the latest rage. i just muddle through a game i played the shit out of 5-10 years ago, then get bored because i played the shit out of it 5-10 years ago.then back to doing nothing after work. though i guess, for me, "nothing" means reading tonnes of manhua/mangas nowadays… surprisingly never got into them when i was younger, and only read novels.
All of the games are on PC Game Pass FYI.
Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition
Mass Effect Legendary Editionare the only things worth playing on this list both are worth the cost of this on their own
•Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition - Excellent
•Dragon Age Inquisition - Excellent
•Dragon Age II: Ultimate Edition - Not so good, but playable for the story and lore
•Mass Effect: Andromeda Deluxe Edition - Haven't played
•Mass Effect Legendary Edition - ExcellentFriendly reminder for those who claimed it from prime gaming, you should have Mass Effect Legendary Edition in your library already. I almost purchased this as I forgot I already claimed it last year!
Another one of the if you own something, you can't but it bundles. Yay. : (
