How do you plan on doing the off site backup?

Intel Based and can do Transcoding, though I already have an nVidia Shield. This is so confusing for a first timer
This qnap is almost as cheap as a simple 4 bay HDD storage unit ( DAS ).
Worst case you can use it as storage and have Plex on a separate SFF PC.
The QNAP will be fine to direct play
