  • Every one of these, when I google, are the same across many sites. What is the deal? Not knocking OP> I just don't see it as a deal unless they discount and THEN offer free shipping, etc.

    • Well it’s a deal for those who are near the store. But all you think about is postage costs I guess.

Need a good deal on a Samsung T7 2tb please!

  • 79 down to 39!

    • PLE, Scorptec, PCCG, Centrecom….all $39

  • Would something like this chucked into a case be a good option plugged into a TV?

Currently got a thumb drive, but smaller capacity, and the port is hard to access, so would be a bonus not having to squeeze to reach (I know… an extension lead would do the same for a thumb drive).

Why not just an external 2.5" HDD. It's not like you need the speed for your use case.

  • Better than buying from centrecon

  • how do you use this? plug it in? configration?

    • +1

Placed into an m.2 slot on your motherboard. Alternatively an enclosure can be used to make it an external ssd, don't know anything about that though as never tried.

  • best usb stick you'll ever make!

  • Only in VIC and WA

  • Showing up as 62 for me in SA

  • Yeah plz update the price as per their website.

  • Is this good as a boot drive, or should i get 1tb from the other deals

  • for those who was thinking on getting these for their ps5 its not gonna work these are gen 3, you need 980 Pro atleast ( or gen4 nvme m.2 )for ps5

    • No it isn't. Still shows as 131 available for pickup at the Vic and WA branches (which the deal is tagged with anyway).

  • 980 Pro is MLC?

    • 980 Pro is TLC. Samsung uses the term 3-bit MLC, which is more commonly known as TLC.

  • Run a 1tb as boot drive for ages, fast and reliable

  • sorry I don't know much about nvme. I am looking to upgrade my 256GB nvme from a couple of years ago. What is the latest and greatest speed wise that I should go for? I think 1TB will be more than enough. I have a PCI 4 supported motherboard (Asus x570 gaming wifi)

    Thanks

  • The Chinese has surprised the Koreans, Taiwan and Japan worth top spec memory at a fraction of the price the others and the result is a 50% drop in prices across the board and >90% profitability!

Samsungs most recent results for the last quarter of 2022/23 was a bloodbath of red ink.

The upside is by mid year the new supply will result in 64gb (2x32) being the new standard for 16gb prices and storage like ssd M2 is going to 2tb for what we’re been paying for 512gb

    • Mind if I quote you once we get to July?

    • What are the Chinese SSD M2 currently sold in the market and for how much?

  • Tempting to buy two for RAID 1 R/W cache on Synology NAS

    500gb… pepe laugh

      most people use online storage

      i only need 256gb.

maybe you need storage for gaming and illegal movies.

      • maybe you can use your storage for clips on how to lighten up

  • all over

  • That’s good

  • If you don't really need this right now, do you all think it's worth waiting for another thing to drop?
