Same price at amazon and officeworks
Aren't the GoPro Hero 11 Blacks at $499 at the moment with sub (15% discount + $50 off)?
The noise reduction and bigger sensor from 9 > 11 is worth the $80 alone!

Agree, I'd spend the extra on a 10 or 11… The 11 has been $475 with 15% off using the subscription dodge trick for months, but the current 15% sale just ended, no doubt it will return soon, they're almost always on sale…
The 8 & 9 had the old gp1 processor, they seemed to struggle with the newer features, they're prone to lockups and glitches.. Plus they had a fixed non-replaceable lens which always made me nervous…
Subs dodge?
Gopro charge you for the hardware as soon as you go through the checkout, then they charge for the subscription a little later, so you need to cancel the Gopro Paypal payment permission to block the subscription payment…
Straight after you finish the checkout go to Paypal >>> Settings>>> Payments>>> select the Gopro auto-payment permission and cancel it so Gopro dont have permission to bill you again in the future…
You avoid paying the $70 subscription when you do this.
Every GoPro has features that they struggle with, its just how it is.
Its best to assume that the highest resolution and FPS option is not going to be able to record for long periods.
For example my GoPro 11 can't do 2.7k 240fps for very long without overheating and shutting down.
Thats not to say GoPro isn't the best in the market because I think it is.
True, they all have their quirks, but… I used an 8 for 2 year, at 2.7k it locked up frequently which required the battery to be removed to reset it, and it would often just turn off for no reason which made it terrible as a helmet camera, it struggled with fairly conservative settings… From what I hear the 9 suffers from the same issues…
I love my Gopros but I found the 8 a real dog, and the 9 is basically the same beast, upgrading to the 10 was a huge improvement in reliability, at this price point it would be wise to hold out for the next 11 deal…
(Gopro had the 9 for $310 back in December (with the sub dodge), so this $420 price isn't too good)
Or better yet… get the GoPro 11 and use the Labs firmware to turn off noise reduction and enjoy the detail!
spend a little more and just get the 11
Definitely go for the 11. The stabilisation is just so incredible. It is not just great for crazy fast action, but just for handheld video while you are walking around. If you are careful to "Ninja Walk" (google it), the footage is just like a gimbal was used. Because it's so stable straight out of camera, you don't have to loose resolution in post production stabilisation.
Definitely spend the extra for an 11.
Or even yet, you can get a new/basically new 10 on marketplace/gummy for around this price.
I'm actually selling my GP11. Never used it and paid $670ish
Has a ton of extra accessories all unused
How much are you selling it for?
Last month I bought hero 10 with 2 extra batteries and metal cage as heat sink for 450 from cash converters.. compared to this price ? Hmmm
Not a bad price but I got a GoPro HERO9 Black from the GoPro website 2 weeks ago for only $365.
They had the 15% off and also if you did the remove subscription trick, $365 was the price it came to. Really good deal.
I am only planning to film stuff without much stabilisation needed so the 9 Black was good enough for me. The video quality is pretty much on par.
$399 if you still have a spend $200 get $20 off e-mail coupon
