No. But have read similar to your comment. Mine's the same as when I bought it. I upgraded from a Note 10+ with the black Samsung leather cover. Had it since new. The leather start to wear in the bottom corners only in the last 6 months and hope to get the same value from this one.
Have had a black Samsung-branded leather case on my S22 Ultra for about a year now.
Colour still looks about the same as new. Bit of leather has peeled off from the side exposing the plastic underneath, and a small bit of the case has snapped off on the thinner area around the pen slot.
Was a freebie when I ordered, but honestly quite impressed with it and prefer it over and all of the TPU offerings I've tried and the leather Bellroy case (though their S23U case differs in design slightly over their S22U one).
S22u cover is very different to s23u
S23 is some recycled stuff which isn't lasting at all. I had the s23 one and it lasted almost a year

On all sides. Higher at top and bottom.
The Samsung leather case for my s21ultra didn’t. Small drop and screen cracked.
Looks just the same as this s23ultra one (tan leather, suede inside)

Great case, had it since release and it's holding up well. Read that the bellroy version isn't as good also.

Same here. This case is the first thing I buy whenever I purchase a new phone.
If you were going for a 'one and only' phone case, i've been pretty happy with Otterbox and its warranty service. Anytime it gets damaged I just submit a claim and they send me a new one pretty quick, or if from Amazon just say lifetime warranty and theyll refund. Have gotten 2 extra for my Note 10, 1 for S10+ and refund for my S22+. but i guess they shouldnt have had problems in the first place haha
I would avoid Samsung leather cases even if they were free, hand one for S22 and good god was it awful, piss poor quality.
Had this on day 1 of the phone, dropped the phone a week in, the leather on the corner was ripped and pulling off, left scratches all over the phone corner despite the case was over it, I don't even know how the phone corner was scratch with a case on. I threw it in the trash that day
Good post OP. I have these from day 1 but this case is one of the hardest case to remove.
That's pretty good value. I've had the green version for a few weeks. Paid $65.
