I bought 4 Argus 2s, 2 failed. Replaced by Reolink with a Argus 2E, since the 2s were discontinued (possibly a product fault?). Reolink has a warranty policy where you must return the faulty product at your own cost AND pay the price difference between the replacement product and the original. So for a warranty claim I was out of pocket almost $50 in paying the difference and return postage costs…..

Within 8 months of replacement, the Argus 2E failed….Reolink will not honour a replacement because the warranty on the NEW replacement product dates back to the original purchase date of the original product!

I tried making a claim 3 weeks after the original warranty expired (on a 8 month old product), only to be rejected.

In a total of 6 battery wifi cameras I had purchased, 4 failed within 2.5 years.

I used to recommend the Reolink battery/wifi products for the ease of setup, cost and image quality, but with such a horrible warranty policy, high failure rate and the fact they would not warrant a claim of an 8 month old product due to an archived warranty policy, NEVER AGAIN. I should have invested all those hundreds I have purchased their multiple products on something else.

Ironically, the cheapest cam they have, the Argus ECO, is still operating. Once it dies, I'll completely roll over to a new brand system. I refuse to pay for a replacement to be invested in the Reolink system.

    • yeah but what system to move to

  • Is there a paid subscription for the app? How long can it record when moving object detected?

    • No need it takes microSD card for local storage.

It takes anywhere between 15-30 secs videos I haven't figured out how it makes the decision. A major complaint I have is the response time as it tends to start the video a bit late.

Overally not bad for the price I guess especially with the solar panel. Been up there since Christmas and still showing full charge.

      • Hi! Just wanna know if it's possible to have the camera on a live view 24/7, on a monitor like my current wired setup ? Will it drain the battery?

  • does not come with the solar panel unfortunately, despite all the photos with the panel

    • Mine did
