Mazda CX-3 Rear Seat Belt Not Retracting - Any Defects?

I have bought Mazda Cx3 2017 few days back from a private seller. I have noticed that the rear seat belt does not retract. The car has accidental history, i suppose, the car warranty is expired. Is there any way i can get it replaced free of cost from mazda?
Also, i am wondering, how do i check if my car had given any defects by sapol? They nornally put a defect on car for this problem.
The previous owner didnt mention anything

    Shouldn't have passed roadworthy (if SA is similar to VIC)

    Edit: just did a quick google. SA RWC requirements are very slack indeed. Crikey!

      And yet their road toll per capita doesn’t really reflect that, it’s almost like stricter RWCs is just about making money and shit driving is the real issue…

      I got pinged @ 12 years ago with a 10 year old Falcon station wagon that had a2 belts not retracting , plus some were worn. This was at Kmart Auto in NSW. All up it was about $2000 to pass Rego, including new tyres (the 2 rear ones were fine. Now I know how this bloke felt

    These cars have a recall for the seat belt, contact dealer expired warranty won’t affect. Free repair

      I think the 'I suppose' is for the warranty and OP purchased a car which had previously been in an accident.

      I wonder if it's on the WOVR.
