Would be interesting to see the weight. Searched everywhere could not find.

    • 450g as I understand it.
I'm basing that on the product description here….

      • Thanks, it's pretty standard then. I was trying to find something similar in weight to a portable bike pump. Fumpa is too expensive. But it looks like the electric pumps are not there yet in terms of portability.

  • OP, have you used this before?

    • No I haven't.

  • Soooo… you keep this in your car in case of emergency. The first time you need to use it, the built-in battery has died due to heat from being kept inside a locked car parked in the sun, or because you forgot to top up the charge every 3-6 months.

LiPo batteries don't like heat or prolonged discharge, and this being a cheap unit, great cell quality is not guaranteed.

I'm not a fan of "safety" gear with obvious points of failure. Everybody's use case differs though, so take my points and your own personal requirements into consideration before purchase.

I agree, I've found charging every 6 months will do.

But an unbranded product like this just tells us that it won't last, and the batteries will likely be the first point of failure, but a poor quality compressor could be the first thing that goes bad as well

    • Sort of, the Xiaomi one seems like a pretty good unit. I was sure I would have killed the pump by now as I've run it from 100-0 several times. Great for visiting mum/grandparents. CBF driving their car to the servo to put air in it, they will never do it, so its fantastic to have it to put air in when needed.

You know you can just charge the thing whilst the car is on….

      • You can charge it whilst the car is on, but you can't run it off USB power alone, these compressors usually chew the whole battery in 20 mins and take 2.5 hrs to charge back up

    • I have a Baseus branded one of these that I keep in the saddle bags on my motorbike. It's about 2yrs old now, has been treated fairly poorly. Gets as hot as the inside of a black fabric saddle bag may get in mid 30's weather on the road. Charged once in a blue moon, used about as often. Still going strong. Used it on the weekend for a mate who's tyres were under, brought them up no worries.

Granted the baseus unit is $100 not $40, so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    Thanks Op got one

  • Thanks OP, I've been on the hunt for a small unit at a price like this like this for a while.

  • This will blow hot air like there after sales warranty & customer service .

  • I bought another chunkier style generic one from aliexpress a year or so ago and it died after the first or second use.
    Should've just stuck with Xiaomi

But I'll give this one a try. With a new account the total was $36.86 for me.

    • Just tried to charge my xiaomi after full discharged, the white charging light like kept flashing won't stay solid fully charge.

      • how long has your xiaomi been fully discharged? Usually being at 0 too long kills the batteries

        • Last week still pump my tyres until all battery gone and charge it immediately.
