Cheapest nbn 50/20 Deal in May

I am going to leave uniti wireless currently paying $49.95 for 50/20mbps plan, as they can no longer offer this price.

what is the cheapest plan on the market now?

My research for 50/20 plan:

- Tangerine $54.90/M for six months, first month $30 off, then from 7th month $69.90/m

- Exetel $53.95/M for six months, then from 7th month $74.95/m

google review is terrible?

-Spintel $54/M for six months, then $64.95

product review seems good

-CommBank $53.90 for 12 months, then $77/M

who is commbank interest provider? More? what about More?

- Origin Internet, $74/m (i am origin customer), 30,000 woolie points = $150, for first six months = $74 - 150/6 = $49 / month, plus 12 months of Paramount + included

ABB is the provider for ORG

it looks like ORG is the best deal

any better choice?

I was on Exetel 50/20 on FTTN for a few months last year than in January upgraded to FTTP and I am now on 100/20. Exetel have been a solid NBN provider haven't had any outages and the speeds are always over 100 mbps even during peak.

Only problem with Origin is they use CGNAT and you can't opt out wasn't an issue for me when I was with them but it's something to note

    who is commbank interest provider?

That would be the Reserve Bank of Australia.

    • Not trying to be that guy, but actually it’s not RBA.

The interbank overnight rate (also known as the cash rate) is the interest rate which banks pay or charge to borrow funds from or lend funds to other banks on an overnight unsecured basis. The Reserve Bank of Australia uses this rate as an operational target for the implementation of monetary policy. The Reserve Bank of Australia calculates and publishes this rate each day on the basis of data collected directly from banks. The interbank overnight rate has been published by the Reserve Bank of Australia since June 1998.

  • Have had Tangerine 100/20 for $62.90 p/m since Jan. Zero complaints so far. I'm on a new FTTP connection though so YMMV.

    • I just joined too. There's not usage dashboard/report, right?

I know it's unlimited, but would still be good to know.

    • Have had Tangerine 100/20 for $62.90 p/m since Jan

That is only for 6 months though.

      • Yeah I know, keeping an eye out for the next deal too..

  • Tbh the website/dashboard is pretty horrific but I don't care for that so doesn't affect me.

    exetel.
origin: just need to stay for 45 days

  • My more telecom 12 month contract $53.90 is expiring end of this month and it’s going up to $70. I rang them to make a better deal , they refused so I put in my cancellation date for end of the month. I rang up tangerine to give me the same pricing as $53.90 they said no, as I was a customer one year ago. So i already used Exetel before and I don’t think they will give me the same price as a a new customer.
I think I might check out origin or any more recommendations for the same price as $53.90??

    • I've used exetel's new customer offer multiple times

      • You are correct I rang Exetel and they are willing to take me on as a new customer

    • what about changing to wife's name but same address?

by doing this way, is this considered a new customer?

I mean, there are rental properties.

My $49 100/40 black Friday Spintel deal is about to end too.

They've been great but I'm keen to chase a similar discount.

    • Same deal with Spintel. I am on FTTN, how's yours? My experience so far with Spintel: quite neutral. They got a couple drop-outs and intermittent connection during buz working hours(range from couple minutes to 1-2hours). Quite annoying considering you're in the middle of meeting.
And also I never got to 100, only ranging from 7x-8x, never even reach 9x during off-peak

      • I am on FTTP and regularly get max speeds through my vpn.

  • i can not change main topic now, there is another deal to add:

    Spintel 50/20
$54/m for six months, then $64.95/m
