Ordered a $899 phone via Amazon, and the package was delivered by CODexpress Canberra on 15 Apr. Since the package felt so light, nothing like a phone, so I opened it with the driver together. It turned out it was a car air freshener, so I returned the package to the delivery driver. The order status on Amazon showed as 'Delivered' regardless after this.
I have called CODexpress (02) 83281394 about 30 times, but only 1 time has someone answered the phone. The guy on the phone said they sent back the package to Amazon already.
I have contacted Amazon by email multiple times. Sometimes they said 'I request you to please return the item for refund.' Some other times, they would say 'We request you to wait till the item is processed at the Amazon facility.'
I have also contacted Amazon by phone. The phone customer support submitted another request internally, and someone responded to me via email saying 'We request you to wait till the item is processed at the Amazon facility.'
What do I do now, keep waiting? It has been 3 weeks since the order showed up as delivered.
Amazon aggreed to refund after I sent an email below to chargeback via credit card issuer
I contacted codexpress the carrier, last week. They said they have marked it as return. Can you please chase them up? I have been calling codexpress more than 20 times this week, but no one answers the phone.
How long do I have to wait? The carrier, codexpress, is effectively uncontactable. Can Amazon resolve this issue rather than asking me to wait forever?
It appears to me the only option for me to get my money back is to ask for a chargeback with my credit card issuer.
Many times I find Amazon is quite slow in response especially in refund. Now I loss confidence over them; so much so that I prefer to get groceries now directly from Woolworths or Coles. In your case the only solution is to be patient to knock on their door.Bomb them with emails to their various “ help” email addresses unceasingly till you got your result. I did it this way as I have plenty of times in my hand.
