    If you dive deep into it, you'll find that they're an oil-based product (paraffin wax) that releases toxic chemicals such as toluene, which is a benzene derivative, a known carcinogen for humans.

    You're actually much better avoiding candles altogether however and going for something such as a wax melt which goes in a wax melter. It's the same as candles but without actually burning the wax. Also a lot less costly in the long run, so great for ozbargainers.

      Curious if you have a suggestion on wax melters, googling it came up with industrial cosmetic things or just ones that work via tea lights.
