Not a shot at your wording by any means, but "cheaper than a coffee" is getting less and less descriptive lmao

Not a shot, a double shot

    • fair, fixed.

I did this last time, I watched half of one movie on the night I did it, then nothing and paid for an extra month inadvertently at the end. It's not a bad source of arthouse and foreign films if you are into them.

    • The same thing happened to me! Then I cancelled the next day

The last time I looked at this product the only film that interested me was showing on SBS Movies for free. I'm sure there's something on there. Plenty of Stanley Kubrick and Alfred Hitchcock to choose from.

    • Unfortunately, there are no films by those directors on MUBI or SBS. Tarkovsky isn't there either.

Regular is $3.80 at our local cafe

Kanopy and Beamafilm are likely free through your local library…

  • I can't get myself to watch any of the movies. Back in the day I used to watch all kinds of movies :( just a phase

It's just not the same without the threat of late fees.

I've been MUBI's customer over the past 4 years. Even subscribed to the bi-annual magazine. This price is an absolute bargain for what you get.

Having said all that, SBS On Demand catalog is fantastic with lots and lots of content to pick from … and it's free.

I also wish, companies like MUBI and Criterion Collection would stop geo-blocking their content!

I wonder who the other two are?

    • I've used nordvpn to watch geo-blocked mubi- worked fine

  • No westerns. :(

During the last deal I ended up watching:
    Asako I&II
    Aloners
    Park Chan-Wook's Judgement
    The Red Turtle

And a whole bunch of interesting shorts. I didn't end up getting the time to watch it as much as I wanted to. Still have a watchlist of around 20 movies sitting in the app.

Super disappointed by the limited content in Aus compared to other regions, but there's still some great stuff. People trying to make fun of the content are really outing themselves as insecure when it comes to their understanding of art.

  • How do I get this offer? Link ends up on Home screen for 7 day trial
took up the $4 offer last May as well as well
