    Selling 4080 separately?

  • For the 4080, there will be a noticeable bottleneck with the 5700X. Is there an option to upgrade?

While running graphic card intense tasks, processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700X will be utilized 100.0% and graphic card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 will be utilized 63.2% . 2560 × 1440 (QHD (1440p)) https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1fE1cy/3/…

While running graphic card intense tasks, processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700X will be utilized 100.0% and graphic card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 will be utilized 91.0% . 3840 × 2160 (4K UHD-1 (2160p)) https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1fE1cy/3/…

Not saying there wouldn't be a bottleneck with 5700X, but I wouldn't be trusting the numbers that site spits out. You need to look at actual reviews to see scaling with different CPUs.

      • Yeh that's fair. I think it gives enough of an indication though. I wouldn't consider this for 1440p, but even at 4k you'd hope to get closer to 100% on a $2k GPU.

        • +4

If you value the GPU at $2k then $300 extra for an entire build that will lose out on maybe 5fps is a hell of a deal.

      • +4

        This. The numbers are garbage.
They weigh core count too highly and it produces wacky results like the 3950X being a better match for the 4080 than the 5800X3D.
FYI the 5800X3D is a lot better than the 3950X in gaming.

    • I got a feeling they don't have anything better than the Ryzen 7 5700X.

I can't see a Ryzen 9 build on the website.

    • +1

      These numbers look crazy suspicious.

I mean the 5700X may bottleneck at 1440p and lower, but it's still a stupidly powerful chip. The below they benchmarked CP2077 on a 3090 with a range of AMD 5000 processors. At FHD Ultra, the 5600X could keep up with the GPU.

So yes, the 5700X may bottleneck on some games, but only at very high FPS - if you're running a 240Hz FHD monitor, then you may need more CPU grunt.

      https://www.techspot.com/review/2197-zen-3-cpu-gpu-scaling-b…

      • I generally agree that the 5700x will barely be bottlenecked at all by the 4080 at 1440p
But that review is comparing CPUs in the same family so that 3090 can be equally bottlenecked by all those CPUs because games rarely use more than 6 cores and the clock differences between those CPUs are like 100MHz
You dont remedy a CPU bottleneck by buying a CPU with more cores, you buy one with faster cores. And this is what faster CPUs look like with a roughly 4080ish tier GPU (5800x approximates 5700x performance)
Later in the video they show a more graphics focused game at 1440p and everything's GPU bottlenecked there so I'd bet the games where a 5700X would be bottlenecked by a 4080 are few and far between.
It's definitely worth considering a 5800X3D upgrade if you are gonna play at 1080p though assuming you just cant live with 180fps in FF14

They're still selling 10th gen Intel??

    • Was released in 2020, only 6 months earlier than the 5600X. I'm not totally shocked

      • +1

        Right… and that's 3 years ago.

        • +1

They still selling ryzen 3000 right now, so what's wrong with Intel 10th gen lmao

          • +1

@Masticccc: I don't follow AMDs so not sure about that.

By the way, the i5-10600KF only supports up to 2666 RAM so not sure why it includes 3200?

    • +3

That's also the clearance part lol

      • @luketechfast is there any chance that you guys can provide any cpu upgrade options?

        • Unfortunately, not for this deal.

  • +3

At the price of the 3080Ti system, I'd much rather the 5600 CPU/4070 GPU systems getting around, which would have a better CPU, DLSS 3, much lower power usage and temps, and only a small loss in GPU performance

  • +6

The 4080 is an ok deal, however imo it deserves to be paired with better parts, I would go an AM5 ATX build with quality parts for just a few hundred more, like:

    7600x, b650(ATX), 32GB DDR5 5600mhz, RM850X.

So a more suitable CPU, MOBO, RAM and PSU. Not to mention a much better build for future proofing and superior up front performance as well.

    7700X even better..

    • AM5 is not really mass dealable atm. We'll keep digging but hasn't been yet.

  • Asking this popular question here, do you sell the parts in their original boxes so I assemble it by myself (mostly to keep them secure during shipping)?

    • +3

Check their deals, they usually do this if you request it

    • Yep, request in Order Notes at checkout.

Jumped on the 3080 build for $1700 about 3 months ago, thought I was a bargain god. Now I'm just angry lol

  • Insufficient stock

Unfortunately the following products are not available in the quantities you require

Deepcool Matrexx 55 Mesh 4F RGB [ATX] Case

Please contact our sales team to find out when it will be available again.

    • Fixed yesterday bc of this comment, thanks for heads up

      • Hey, it is still not fixed.

I cannot choose the Deepcool Matrexx 55 Mesh 4F RGB [ATX] Case for the 4080.

        Can you please check again?

  • +1

Is it a good idea to get This 3080ti build or yesterday’s 4070 build/ wait for a better 4070 build?

  • +3

So looked on the website, no AM5 systems at all yet?

Would be interesting to see what you could do with a R5 7600 + 7900XTX

    • +2

      Agreed.
Can we move to AM5 deals please

    • see above on AM5, not mass dealable pricing yet

  • How much do you think a decently priced 5600x + 3060ti pc should go for now?

    • 2nd hand? New they are about $1k with barebones components for the rest

  • +1

4070 over 3080ti only cause of dlss3 and greener generation

  • +1

Is it just me or the prices are screaming recession. All non necessary items like motorcycles, boats etc have been getting cheaper in the market place. Anyone else noticing this?

  • +2

Are any of these systems classed as “Express” and ready to ship?

    • No - configurable

  • What brand or brands of RTX 4080 can we expect?

    • @luketechfast pls confirm. Looking to order pending info

  • This is not the 4080 build I am looking for. Bummer.

  • @luketechfast hi, what brands of 3080 ti are currently being used? thank you.

  • @luketechfast

hey man, could you work out an option with a MB that can take on another pcie card? i've got a bluetooth/wireless card i was hoping to add on to this system. thanks man

  • @luketechfast

Help!! My PC arrived today, and the side glass panel is entirely shattered, still in one piece due to the protective laminate or sticker on top of it.

Do I send it back and get a refund or does Aus Post have to pay as they broke it transporting it? or how does it work?

    • Hi there,
Please reach out via dm with your order number, or reach out to [email protected] and the team will be able to assist you.

  • What's with the mobo having only 1 x NVME slots, a few people already raised this but still no changes.
It's a good deal except the mobo is always disappointing.

  • +1

Hi there - the 3080 Ti is sold out. Will this be updated at all?

  • Hoping for a premium build bargain
