Specs are a bit off, the listing is the same light as the one linked in the Aliexpress page its using the 5amp driver which is a MosFet driver not the 7135 driver. The 4 mode driver is not using Biscotti firmware it is similar firmware.

No high CRI options in the Luminus SST-40 as of yet, the SST-20 is a high CRI LED in some tints (2700 to 5000k).

    • My bad, copied the specs from my other SST20 deal. Have updated description.

  • how many lumens?

    • Should be good for 1600-1700 lumens.

  • Chinese or Aussie Lumens?

    • Aussie. At turbo, these things get quite warm to touch

  • Would this be suitable as a bike light?

    • +1

Yes, just be aware it's pretty direct (doesn't flood) and you will need an adaptor for your handlebars.

I use one daily on a bike. It illuminates fantastically.
Be aware though that it has a conical beam and will shine in the eyes of oncoming traffic/people. I use a 3d printed shade to alleviate this somewhat, but it's not perfect.
I've also toyed with diffusing lenses so that the beam spreads to the sides and no so much up and down, but unfortunately it's nowhere near as bright.

  • Battery?

      Needs an 18650 - don't think it's included.
