Samsung 970 Evo Plus PCIe Gen3 NVMe M.2 2TB SSD $195 + Delivery ($0 MEL/WA C&C) @ PLE

350

Samsung Evo plus 2tb dropped to $195 from $246. I've been looking for an SSD like this for a while as reliable storage within an enclosure but wasn't willing to pay over $200. Snapped this up this arvo. Thought others would like to know!

Capacity - 2TB
Read/write speeds - 3,500/3,300 MB/s
Interface - PCI Express 3.0
TBW - 1200
Warranty - 5 years

The obligatory speeds and TBW that should be in every OP:

    Sequential read/write speeds up to 3,500/3,300 MB/s.
    TBW: 1200

Got the 1TB for $99 from Scorptec last week.

Great drive; benchmarks hold up, and even with an exhausted cache and dram is still over 1GBps.

  • Got 1tb one from amzon for $79 2 months ago, will expect ssd price to go down further

  • good price just bought 2TB from CATCH.com.au 2 weeks ago around same price.
    Buy local / australian sellers.
Don't buy Amazon as they won't honour the warranty after 30 days.

I have no problem returning my faulty sn850 bought from amazon uk for a full refund after 6 months

Once you remind them you're in Australia; yes they will.

Doesnt matter who the pseudo seller is; they're the storefront, and are bound by ACL.

Done it on dozens of items.

  • Would this be suitable for using in an enclosure with for a M1 MacBook Pro?

    Any recommendations for enclosures?

  • What would be better in a case for external backups, this or a T7?

  • The price is $249 when I visit the link?

    • Looks like it's expired. Above there are other links to the same or lower price.

    • Same here

      Back to $195 it seems.

  • My new OzB laptop (the Ideapad Pro 5 16inch) has a spare M.2 socket and supports M.2 Gen 4 SSD up to 1TB. I'll be seeking reliability mainly (dont want to lose data - although I do periodicaly back up it would still be a big pain) and for music production e.g loading and using music software and plugins; and fast accessing and moving of tons of small sound files. I'm pretty sure I should be looking for something with Dram? Are there any particular models to watch out for on the all powerful Ozbargain?
