      I went black, but I didn't go back for one reason: They sent expired/damaged product and wouldn't allow a return & refund but promised to let the quality control team know.

        Wow that's pretty poor form for a boutique brand, would expect better customer service than that! I would definitely have escalated until I get a refund…

        • I did. They didn't care. They outright refused, apologised and said they would let the related team know. Been going to Godiva since.

          I noticed the brand had been going downhill, and people pointed out it started when the Grill'd CEO got the role.

        If it's expired why wouldn't you raise with the ACCC? Photos of the expiration date and the current date and they have to refund you…

        Regardless, that's really crappy customer service.

        • I did a report with the ACCC, then gave the reference number to Koko Black together with the complaint I handed in, but they didn't care enough and ACCC wants to go after bigger fish, but at least the report was in so if multiple reports came in maybe it may help to form a bigger case.

            @Heaps for Cheaps: Oh man that sucks, I've gone through ACCC for a pair of ugg boots and they returned them after the "repair, refund or replace" and they repaired them and returned them in worse condition haha. So yeah, got a refund after a few months and (profanity) around. This was over a decade ago though…

              @teereb: What a disgrace, how easy it would be for them to replace the product. Clearly they are in the wrong sending overpriced out of date chocolate.
