Turtle Beach Ear Force DX11 7.1 Surround Sound Headset (for PC, Xbox 360) for $130.50 from $225

40

I have had a pair of these for a while and I love them - they work on both Xbox 360 and PC.
The sound quality is amazing.
Having owned a pair of Tritton headphones (Turtle Beach's main competition), I can say that these are much more comfortable and have better sound quality.
And the Tritton's aren't much cheaper than these - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/75540
This is a weekly offer from Mighty Ape - instead of buying a $100 new-release game, buy these to make all the games you currently own so much more fun.

Mate, just because you can't read a title doesn't mean you need to neg the deal. For $130.50 from $225 makes perfect sense to most people.

Might want to change it to Now $130.50 Save $94.50 or something, for certain special folks.

  • Christ, surprised to see Turtle Beach are still around, had a sound card from them back in the mid 90's.

  • Would be cool to just get the DSS by itself, but it seems it costs more and isn't in stock XD

7.1 from headphones? Ok I swallowed the "simulated" 5.1 rubbish a few years back but now they're claiming 7.1!? No. I call BS. How can two speakers output 8 separate channel to make 7.1?

    • It should be 7.2. One subwoofer for each ear. :P

    • You know how you can use 3d glasses to send different pictures to your eyes, tricking them into seeing 3d?

Well, these send a different audio signal into each ear, tricking them into hearing 3d sound.

    • I beleive there are some surround haedphones featuring multiple speakers in each ear, Triton's maybe?

  • Is there a reason PS3 isnt listed in the description for this headphone? Does it not work with PS3?

  • They seem to be down to $99 now
