    • Same here.

      $22.90 from Bunnings. <832 available.

      • Not that many around. Few hundred KMs for me.

    • I actually bought a 2 pack of these for $56 just 6 months ago.

Just FYI for anyone looking to buy: I have the same chair but under a different brand. They’re pretty uncomfortable at longer sitting durations & the feet will sink in sand or even soft ground like while camping.

For solid ground & short durations they’re fine.

I've tried this seat before its not very comfortable.

This is a little larger and $1 cheaper but way more comfortable.

I have these and they arent as uncomfortable as I thought they would be. They sit in the boot and have come in clutch for those random times we go to the park unprepared. Also, they are also perfect for kids or hikers.

  • +1

These are great, light, compact and sturdy enough unless you are obese or need assistance getting up as they do seat low.

A beach mat is a must for beaches and soft grounds (rain).

Aren't all these super compact and super lightweight camp furniture products a rip-off of the Australian-designed Helinox?

    https://helinox.com.au/

Which, it has to be said, is rather exxy.

    • +1

Exxy yes, but Helinox gear is pretty good. Their Zero chair is 490g vs this one at close to 1kg so there's differences. Weather or not an additional 400g will make a difference when you throw it out the back of the Rangey in the powered camping grounds vs a parachute drop into the jungle for filming season 15 of Alone - who knows!

I love my kogan copy of nemo stargaze chair. The cup holder is useless but otherwise great. $50.

    • I like how it has a higher back. Is it good for long sitting durations?

      • +1

It's tight across the arms. Other than that it's good . I lie back in it mostly plus rock in it . Also put feet up on stool. Have been known to sit in it for hours.
It does feel odd if you sit upright in it to eat.
Most importantly for car camping it doesn't take up much room. Legs are heavy / sturdy steel. Material fine mesh like and seatback closes down on itself in strong wind when unoccupied.

        • Good to know. Thanks for the info 👍

  • Mountain Designs version from Anaconda is similar, but has the sand stabiliser ($59 currently with member pricing): https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/camp-furniture…

The lightweight table is also decent ($49.99 currently with member pricing): https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/camp-furniture…

These are really designed for hiking/motocamping where space is a premium.

  • Cheapest similar item I found in Amazon is this Xcellent Global Camping Chair at $19.88. 1 star rated, with the reviewer saying it's unstable. I guess one can give it a try and return to Amazon if unhappy?

    • Love the creative use of the metric system for its weight. And the imperial for its capacity.

    • it basically is. all these chairs are nearly identical and theres no reason to go one above the other aside from price. get the cheapest, it makes no difference. $46 for one of these is not a deal

    • Currently a lightning deal @ $25.99 and 20% off code bringing it down to ~$18

  • I always admire the design of these. Then remember I'm always too pissed when camping to stay in one, they look way too easy to topple

  • Got some similar ones from Ali for $20 each (currently $23.60 at 66% off) pretty decent quality and sturdy. Used them last week - I think they are comfy. Must have had AU stock when I ordered as they came in 5 days.
