40% off Drinkware @ Pelican Australia

Will these hold more than your belly can.

Sadly, no. The highest capacity item included in this promo is 1.8 litres, slightly less than the low-end average of 2 litres capacity for the adult human stomach.

Hurry don't miss out because they are selling very fast.

      • That's what I was thinking…

      dark patterns.
so bloody annoying and not necessary at all for a reputable brand like pelican to stoop to such flaky tactics

  • +2

Brilliant. Was in the market for an insulated large (1.8l in this case) water bottle. Was leaning towards a Yeti model but at $55 delivered for the Pelican using the discount I'm pretty happy with that.

How about a sale on some pelican cases? That's what people actually want from pelican.

Today I learned that Pelican also make drinkware

    • +1

Yesterday I learned that they make phone cases!

    • Their coolers (eskies) are phenomenal too, but at the price of a cheapish 12v fridge unfortunately.

          😆
That is cute, I'll get one too! I have the 50qt and it's a good size for a few nights away with 1-2 bags of ice. These things are all insulation, none of the BCF, Anaconda or Bunnings stuff even come close. Yeti would be the only real comparison.

          • @[Deactivated]: techni ice eskies any good?

            • +1

@tdw: The standard "classic" line are pretty useless for ice retention over 1-2 days but can't comment on the more expensive "hardcore" range, which look more like the Pelican.
Haven't been able to really find much real world info about those.

              • @[Deactivated]: i basically just needed one for the 1 or 2 days a year where we lose power from whole-day maintenance, but which was also sturdy enough to use as a storage container for those other days.

                • +1

@tdw: Techni ice would probably be OK then , they're basically an extra thick cargo case with better components and warranty.
You could also use a cargo case if you don't ever need it out and about as an actual Esky, you just padd it out with extra insulation to remove the air space when you put ice in there.
I flew from Kunnanara to Broome, overnight stay, then Perth to Melbourne with a cheap Willow Esky full of frozen fish which was well packed with newspaper and duct tape sealed and it was 90% frozen after 24hrs.

                  • @[Deactivated]: i guess i like to keep my options open in case i do need to use it for the odd picnic or something. thanks for the tips.

  • Unlike the cases - drink bottles are made in china. Still good quality - I bought in a previous sale. Mine is still holding up but my wife dropped hers and the bottom plastic broke.

    • No warranty claim? I'd have thought Pelican would offer a very robust warranty.

      • She dropped it so wouldn't think it would be eligible. @Pelicanstore

        • +1

I'm not personally responsible for warranty claims (though feel free to file one through https://www.pelican.com/au/en/support/submit-a-warranty-clai…) but from my understanding, though all Drinkware is covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing or workmanship defects, I'm not sure breakage of a non-critical component due to a drop would be covered, and may be considered "normal wear and tear"

However, as you'll see on the claims form, damaged wheels, lids and other parts are often covered by the repair and/or replace policy, so it may be worth a try!

          • @ErinaCleaningSupply: Thanks for letting me know. Will look into it. Otherwise was happy with the bottles and also the Esky is awesome.

            • @Dajaba: Glad to hear you like your Pelican Products, and I hope you get a satisfactory response should you decide to file a warranty claim.

  • "18/8 pro grade stainless steel"

    18/10 would like to chat.

    • +1

Though slightly tougher and more corrosion resistant, 18/10 stainless is also slightly heavier and more expensive than 18/8 stainless, and since almost the entire Drinkware range is powder coated, the real-world difference in corrosion resistance will be minimal, if it exists at all. Both steels are pro grade, high quality materials, fit for almost all of the same applications.

  • How do these go with coffee in it for a bit? I have a thermos and they get gross quickly despite a lot of thorough cleaning.
