With Sendle the more you buy the cheaper it gets to ship, it can come down to $1.70 per roll to ship if a large (above 5 rolls) quantity is ordered

ALL SPOOLS ARE 1KG total weight with box is 1.3kg

All stock is held in a physical store front in NSW Parramatta, with shipping available via sendle and through the website 1-3 business day shipping starting at 8$

Regarding shipping options:
Last time it was mentioned to use a 5kg auspost satchel for $20 but that defeats the point as a spool weighs 1.3kg 3 spools would weigh 3.9kg while 4 weigh 5.2kg meaning you could only fit 3 spools in a 5kg satchel making it more cost effective to use companies such as sendle.

Very interesting, very good prices, selection and variety! For me unfortunately the deal breaker are the cardboard spools, my Bambu lab AMS don't like them, and I can't be bothered with respooling or adaptors etc!

    • +1

Fair! I run a X1CC with the AMS Hydra and these newer cardboard spools on this batch work amazing with them, Id suggest giving it a shot as a lot of my customers actually run them just fine in the AMS. Also personally after using around 30kg of the Black abs for print jobs what was left was a very fine line on the roller no other dust.

      • I would buy some, but I am allergic to that cardboard I get very itchy welts if it touches my skin :(

  • +1

Can vouch for their matte pla, haven't had any issues with it.

  • Are you guys actually open until 2am? What time to be alive 😲

    • +5

One man army with a broken sleep schedule, but basically open 24/7, 5 am on a Sunday out of filament and need some asap? boom I'm awake.

  • whens the Tricolour PLA Red Green Blue dropping? 🤤🤤

    • Keen to hear this, too.

Will have to buy some from you and done of your in stock filament. Honestly though, is it any good? Send to good to be try with the pricing!

      • +1

Everyone's first response is that haha! Give it a shot you wont regret it I highly recommend the matte black pla or any of the matte filaments to start off with.

  • I tried the Matte PLA and CF PETG, had good results with both.

Excellent price for a good quality filament.

  • Great prices, pretty much the only place I buy from now.

  • Hey OP, great prices - willing to give it a try.

I'm in Melb, and prices with Sendle for even 5 rolls is >$20. Shipping doesn't seem to change with less rolls either. Is this expected?

    • That is correct you can go up to about 18 rolls before it moves up in price again as 18 rolls weigh around 25kg

      • Apologies in advance if I'm completely misinterpretating this, but I assumed it would get cheaper with five rolls than four?

With Sendle the more you buy the cheaper it gets to ship

        • +6

Yeah sorry about the wording, but technically if you buy more rolls the shipping does increase overall but it’ gets cheaper per roll

          For example
1-3kg is one tier that costs 8$
          3-7kg is 12$
          7-10 is 15$
          10-15 is 20$
          15-20 is 25$
          20-25 is 27$

These are examples not actual figures

But for example if you buy 2 rolls that’s 2.6kg 8$
Comes out to 4$ per roll shipping

If you buy 10 rolls that’s 13kg which comes out to 20$ costing you only 2$ per roll

I hope that helps but yeah usually after 7-8 rolls the shipping prices drop off down to 2$ to 1.70$ per roll.

The best I’ve seen was 1.65$ per roll on a 38 roll order in Melbourne.

          • @Sidddd: Cheers for the detailed response - placed an order for five rolls :)

  • Was surprised how well this filament printed for the price - and also have had no issues with the cardboard spools in the Bambu AMS. It does look like the printable rings for the overture filaments would work on these though with a little modification, as the spool outer diameter looks to be about the same.

I'm still trying to get the PLA-CF to print consistently though, as that stuff oozes so much - same with the PETG-CF.
But the PLA Matte black is probably my new go-to, I actually just placed another order of a bunch of filament last week.

Would love it see a white marble filament in the future. If they stocked that, I'd probably only order from here now.

    • +1

For me printing PETG-CF at lower temperature solved the issues with oozing, with still a good layer adhesion.

    • +1

PLA CF likes 220 and 60, usually if its stringing that means it probably needs to be redried. Also to combat stringing with CF materials I recommend removing your reverse bowden tube if you have direct drive and replacing it with a larger ID Bowden tube to have less resistance if it isn't already 3mm id.

PETG CF shouldn't string too bad again drying should help a touch and its a good spot to start.

      Marble coming soon!

      • Cheers! I found that part of the issue is that I didn't realise Bambu slicer uses quite a higher temp for the generic PETG-CF, too. I just told the AMS that it's generic PETG and now it's printing a treat. Going to have the most pumped out Prusa MK4 in PETG-CF!

Same with the PLA-CF, dropped the temp on that and printing it on the Prusa, it's also printing a treat.

        Excited for the Marble!

        • +1

Wooooooooooo! Completely overlooked the temps, I did that myself too when moving over to the Bambu.

Marble has been ordered it will be coming in may!

  • These are some great prices. I just picked up a bunch of rolls the other day that I need to get a bit further through before I order more. I’ll give this a crack next time I’m in need of more filament.

  • I've had bad experience with matte PLA's being brittle and stupid weak layer adhesion, same here?

    • While matte plas are weaker then their shiny counterparts, I’ve used this matte pla for around 3 years now and I’ve used it on items such as tool mounts to outdoor door latches and they have held up just fine even at 40% infill with 4’walls

  • Solid prices! Just punched through my first order and will be keen on a bunch more if it prints well

  • Ordered on the weekend and had them by Wednesday in Brisbane. Initial prints from matte white and matte black pla look really good! Only disappointed there isn’t more in stock.

FYI for those with Bambu AMS, I printed the THIN model of this: https://www.printables.com/model/251028-cardboard-spool-ring…

And it works great. The standard size doesn’t let the AMS lid close. I’m sure the roll would work ok without it but I’ve heard reports of small parts of cardboard rubbing off and causing issues down the line.

The only possible feedback would be I wish there was a Brisbane store and more filament in stock currently, I’m genuinely surprised that P3D hasn’t become the default for many people in Aus considering the prices

    • The problem with another store is people carrying it for the prices I want it to be at, after discussing around no one wants to carry it at this price as it’s to low of a margin by normal/retail shops. Which is understandable as I’m a single person operation from ordering, unpacking, sorting, packing and sending so I can pay myself nothing and keep it going.

The vic store is run by me not taking a cut in any sales passing on the savings to the customer.

If we can find someone who’s willing to sell at the prices I set in Brisbane and they have some spare cash, I can definitely get a shipment sent out there and a store open.

The goal was to always have cheap filament accessible for people to buy + buy at the funkiest of times as most shops are 9-5 but most people work during those hours so they never get to come out to pickup filament, with my hours being so whacky 5pm-5am gives a chance for everyone to come but stuff.

  • What max volumetric flow rate do you set for your petg and pla Siddd? Do you have settings you could share?

    • Sorry for the late response, I use 24mm3 on my bambuhotend for both petg and pla, I print fast at 200mms 10k outer wall 15k inner wall 290mms infill

      220/60 for pla
      245/80 for petg

cooling for both is 80% default 100% overhangs
