Drying Aid: BO Boss Gloss Vs Gyeon Detailer (Ceramic|Quick)

Looking to get drying aid product to supplement my washing gear.

Hoping to buy a product that will assist with Hydrophobic of the paint panels, so easier to dry the car.

I was looking for a blower but decided to just stick with microfibre drying towels for now.

Don't mind paying for extra in Gyeon's Detailer (especially the Ceramic detailer because it is quite expensive) as long as it can do the job.

For now, without any feedback, I am leaning towards BO Boss Gloss.

Any other input would be much appreciated, folks!

  • If it's purely a drying aid Bowdens Own Afterglow (which is what I use) is better than Boss Gloss.

    • did you have to use it with BO Big Softie? I watched the video, so just wet the microfibre and spray the BO Afterglow then start wiping? no streaking, no waterspots?

      • Not the big softie but similar plush microfibre, two cloths, damp one for applying the product and a second dry one for a final buff if required. Will only streak if you over apply it (which I sometimes do get a little carried away) but a wipe with a second cloth before it cures will remove any streaking. There shouldn't be any water left to leave water spots.

  • P&S bead maker

  • OP, just curious. What do you plan to do after you apply the drying aid and dry the car?

You sit back and admire your work feeling like you’ve achieved there is everything to achieve in life

    • Is this a serious curious question?

  • I have a bigboi blower buddy jr that I got when they first came out. Very useful, love it, can be very light with the microfibre drying.
My cars are coated with NV nova evo and I use NV boost as an extra layer.

    • i'm split minded about this. do i want to spend $100 for a blower, will it help me reduce the drying time significantly… i'm not sure at this stage.

  • try nv boost v2 from waxit.com.au or obsessed garage drying aid from detailingshed

Ive used both and they are pretty simliar in performance and leave no residue

I just let the sun dry it.

of course, one of those replies. I'm sure you are one of those folks who use the rain God to wash your car.

      • I treated the cars to a wash on the weekend, felt they deserved it after 3 months or so.
