Normally $300. NOTE: Not carbon fibre sole.
Also on sale (the real bargain IMO) is their laced up version ($120) $87.50 with Adiclub: https://www.adidas.com.au/the-road-cycling-shoes/FW4457.html…

Thought that this “upstroke” myth got debunked a long time ago
It did.
i lost faith in humanity after seeing those videos. all these years wearing stupid looking shoes around coffee shops…..FML. I since then have not put on my clipless pedals ever since…..
Upstroke is never going to be as efficient as a downstroke. It's not about efficiency. It's about having a stable platform that you can crank all your power through and you don't need to worry about foot position or slipping off the pedal because you're locked in. It could be the difference between getting an extra turn of the crank in on a technical climb.
It seems like Adidas jacked up the prices of stuff so that this 30% discount comes out to the same sale prices they had listed a couple of weeks ago. Annoying.
IMHO $150 for these shoes is a bit pricey. Nylon sole… Adidas is not really a quality brand in its recent history and one needs quality for cycling shoes. I would rather get Shimano, Fizik, Gaerne, Giro, Rapha, Specialized or even DHB.
It's like buying Adidas boxing gloves or Gi.
i believe its mesh at the top so power transfer wont be great on the upstroke
