You've asked, we've listened. I'm very excited announce the launch of two new Single Origin coffees from much loved and repeatedly requested regions of the world, which also happen to be neighbouring countries, Peru and Colombia :)

To celebrate this launch we're offering you a 40% discount off our crowd favourite Peru Chanchamayo Grade 1 Single Origin and our Colombia Cauca Single Origin Coffee:

1) Peru Chanchamayo Grade 1 Organic Single Origin, only $14.99 per 500g (usually $24.99 per 500g), and $26.39 per 1kg (usually $43.98 per 1kg)

2) Colombia Cauca Single Origin, only $15.59 per 500g (usually $25.99 per 500g), and $27.59 per 1kg (usually $45.98 per 1kg)

Deal valid for orders placed until 02/05/2023, unless sold out before. You can pick from the available green circle dispatch dates on the cart page. Dispatch can happen for you as near as Monday and as far as the last Thursday in June. Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

Some helpful info:

  • You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting
  • One dispatch per order
  • If you select 500g as a quantity please ensure you also select 500g as the packaging option. If 500g is selected as a quantity with 1kg as the packaging selection the product will show as "unavailable"
  • 500g bag packing (it's resealable) is also available for orders larger than 500g this is an extra $3.60 per kg including the discount (normally $6 extra per kg) to cover the extra bag/s, label/s and time it takes to pack
  • Complimentary gift notes can be written in the designated space on the cart page."
  • The largest bag size we use is 1kg and it has a zip (it's resealable), for example if you order 4kg with 1kg packaging you will receive 4 x 1kg bags, you will not receive a single huge 4kg bag.
  • VIC|NSW|QLD|TAS|NT Flat Rate Shipping $6.99 No Delivery Company Preference, $7.99 Shipit-Courier's Please, $8.99 Australia Post, $12.99 Express Post, Live Quote Shipping at the checkout for Same Day Delivery as Dispatch in VIC in the highlighted map areas https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/361387/95314/same_day_…
  • SA|WA Flat Rate Shipping $9.99 Express Post. Regular parcels travel to SA & WA via train. The recent floods have damaged the rail line to SA & WA and a freight train has derailed, as such we've been informed by Australia Post that standard delivery to SA & WA is currently not an option for the foreseeable future. Express Post travels by plane, so it's still a viable option. We understand some of our SA & WA customers would prefer our "$6.99 No Delivery Company Preference" standard shipping option. Our Express Post option is usually $12.99. As Express shipping has been forced on us and you as the only viable option to SA & WA for the moment, to make the best of this situation we've decided to split the price difference and offer our SA & WA customers flat-rate Express shipping for only $9.99. We're currently working with the delivery companies to get a viable timeframe on potentially bringing back standard shipping to SA & WA

  • Thanks OP. How would you describe the roast for these?

    • +1

      I'd describe them as 'delicious'.

But if you want a meaningful description the website has a description for each product:

Peru Chanchamayo Grade 1 Organic Single Origin

      Score = 85/100

      Aroma = Plum

      Sweetness = Honey

      Acidity = Mandarin

      Fruit 1 to Chocolate 10 Flavour Scale = 7

      Type = Pache

      Grown = 1750m

Process = Washed - Clean with Medium Body/Mouthfeel

Brew Method = Espresso or Filter - Omni Roasted

Beverage Base = Black or White - Deliciously Sweet Black, Enough Oomph to Cut Through Milk

      • +1

Morning @Darkheartz nice answer assist, much appreciated!

        I'm wrapped to know you'd describe them as "delicious" :) :) :)

      • Thanks! I did check there and found those notes however was curious to know how the roaster would describe the roast.

    • Hey @Rhubarb Jones appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

We'll roast these Single Origins as a medium/omni roast :)

      • Thanks! Much appreciated. I'll likely order some (still have a delayed delivery scheduled from you to arrive in May).

Could you recommend a light roast for espresso?

  • Do you have some flavour profiles for these new coffees?

    • +1

      Hey @tonydav we sure do!

@Darkheartz has posted a helpful example of this above. When you go to our site, each coffee product page has a flavour profile in the above format :)

      • I've ordered 500g of each to try.

        • Terrific combo order, thank you so much, hope you love them both!

  • +2

Hey rep, any chance we can have a calendar or something that shows what dates we've got orders shipping to us?

I've got unfulfilled orders but it doesn't say when it's getting shipped out, so I have to check my emails. Just a convenience thing, totally understand if it's not implementable.

    • +4

Hey @Scalding Coffee Cup nice suggestion, thank you for your constructive input!

Same page, same book…we've been looking for a solution to this in the background for months. We got a small step closer when we launched our site chat bubble, as customers can type their email in the bubble and their order history will show. The history list shows which orders are fulfillment and which have not yet been dispatched, from there customers can look at the order confirmation emails to find their selected dispatch dates. On our side of the chat we have been able to customise the dashboard to show dispatch dates too, but are yet to have any luck getting this customisation to show on the customer side. I was thinking of showing this in a list format, however I like your idea better of a calendar format and it makes more sense as the initial selection is made via a calendar. Leave it with me, I don't know how long it will take to make happen (short of rebuilding the internet haha), but this feature is on our mind. Additionally we've been looking into technology to enable customers the option of editing dispatch dates with more ease than needing to email us to make a date change.

Please keep the feedback coming, it is very helpful for us and hopefully pushes the Lime Blue Coffee experience to be even more enjoyable for you :)

      • +2

That would be a game changer if we can change despatch dates. I placed an order a month ago with it being shipped today but I ran out of beans this week so bought some Aldi ones to get me through.

  • Any comments on how the Cauca SO compares to the Colombia Huila SO?
The Huila was one of my favourite black coffees of all time

    • +1

Hey @WaTtieS nice check in and I'm so happy to know how much you enjoyed our Colombia Huila SO!!!

Based on how much you enjoyed our Huila, I think you're in for a real treat with our Cauca. The two are very similar, main difference being the Huila was Double Washed Processed and the Cauca is a Washed Processed coffee. In the cup the resulting flavour is quite similar, what you may notice is the Huila has a bit more acidity and increased clarity of flavour compared with the Cauca. Essentially what this means is the Huila had slightly more kick to it and with the Cauca you'll notice a wider spectrum of flavour notes. These difference would only really be know by having a side-by-side coffee tasting of the two. As a stand alone the Cauca has a great level acidity level and crisp clarity of flavour :)

      • Thanks for the comprehensive response mate.
Looking forward to giving it a whirl

        • Terrific to hear, glad it was helpful!

Thank you so much for placing another fantastic order with us, it's truly appreciated :)

      • When you add new coffee on Ozbargain/website can you include a description of what the coffee will taste like for a lay person. Enjoy having the score, aroma, etc but I don't know what it really means for taste.

        • Morning @Jacko1235 really appreciate you taking the time to reach out with this helpful, constructive feedback!

We have tried to add descriptions that suit all levels of experience, from someone who has just bought their first coffee machine/piece of brewing equipment to someone who has all the wizz bang brewing gadgets possible and has a meticulous coffee making system. However, as we're so immersed in what we do, it can be hard to see the wood for the trees to create user friendly descriptions without the need for a technical understanding to interpret.

At present we compare the level of sweetness, acidity…to products people are generally familiar with e.g. sweetness = brown sugar. When you get a sec would you please elaborate regarding your feedback with an example of a description that may better resonate with you? Perhaps if you let me know whether you like more of a chocolate or fruity coffee and more or less acidity/kick I could point you in the right product direction, then once you've tried it you could provide feedback on the description via a reply email to your order confirmation? I can't guarantee your feedback will result in a direct change, but I can guarantee we'll take it on board and at the very least it will have an indirect impact on future descriptions :)

    • Yes the Huila was also my favourite in recent memory!

      • Wonderful to hear, our Huila was a special one!

Our Cauca is like Huila's fraternal sibling, similar yet still unique :)

  • +1

Hi OP, any word on when the next frequent buyers club starts? Just wanting to avoid having a whole pile of coffee arrive around the same time a new buyers club round starts.

    • Would like to know too

      • +1

Hey @serrin and @kati appreciate the check in about our next FBC round, makes sense to plan ahead and avoid an oversupply!

We focus on one round at a time, so I don't know exactly when the next FBC round will commence. That said, our current FBC round ends in June, so I'd estimate the earliest a potential new FBC would commence dispatch would be mid July :)

        • makes sense to plan ahead and avoid an oversupply!

          Wait…that's a thing? :)

          • @Chazzozz: haha true words @Chazzozz an oversupply for daily use just means it's an undersupply for a coffee party AKA time to stock up and throw a coffee party :)

  • +3

Any guarantee that these were made by people getting a reasonable wage?

  • +3

I can vouch for this vendor’s trade practice integrity. Recently had a little hiccup with packaging and they went over and beyond and I was mightily impressed.

  • +5

Going to let my bikie mates know about this post.
$33.38 for 1 key of genuine Colombian product is a steal. Shocked this is just out in the open and not on the darkweb.

    • Haven't tried these SOs but can vouch for their previous ones. A touch better than Airjo and for the same price.

  • +1

To echo other endorsements: Auspost was alternately going through non-delivery and bayonetting phases down my way and Lime Blue soaked the cretin-related losses and made sure my order was fulfilled. I have since jumped in on the frequent buyer's club and have enjoyed the first roast which has a touch of the wild ale sour about it. It's too fruity for my milk-swilling wife, but I am loving it.

  • Hi OP, you have no dispatch dates between 30 May and 28 June is that deliberate?

    • Hey @litoria appreciate the double check, never hurts to ask!

We're still in the process of figuring out what the start-mid June dispatch will look like. However, we know what the end of June will look like because we have a FBC dispatch happening during that week :)

  • Would love to buy some more of your decaf again sometime soon - any chance of a special upcoming?! Cheers

    • Morning @Goliegosh :)

      Appreciate the check in!

We tend to focus on one deal at a time, so I'm not yet 100% when/what any future deals will look like. No promises, but I believe there's a good chance our Decaf will be featured in a deal before the new financial year. In the meantime, it's available at full price if you can't hold off any longer. We do appreciate and take feedback onboard, so your comment helps push our Decaf towards a future deal :)

  • -4

Why is there no deal to try both single-O's for $26.39 + $6.99? Would be a great deal and I'd definitely jump on it

    • Your suggestion only considers the 1kg price of the cheaper product and doesn't factor in the additional costs outlined for extra packaging. You may as well say "Why isn't the cheap deal cheaper?"

      • I am happy to pay the packaging cost, just a suggestion to have this deal.

        2 x single-O 500g deal, makes sense?

        • There is a deal for that. Add them to your cart; it's $30.58. It's just not the price you want

          • @Darkheartz: Spot on @Darkheartz appreciate the answer assist, thank you!

Hey @sqheaven as mentioned by @Darkheartz you're able to achieve your order order request by selecting 500g of each product :)

            • @LimeBlueCoffee: Put my order in last minute, I wouldn't have ordered if you hadn't commented here 😂 Thanks LB team, I think it's my 3rd order with you.

              • +1

@sqheaven: Haha well I'm glad I commented then. We always strive to reply to every comment directed at us, it's just a case of trying to find the time to get everything done and reply quicker…a constant work in progress to do everything more efficiently :)

Thank you so much for your combo order, it's truly appreciated!

                • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thank you. I got the shipping info. Only have 4 shots left, let's see if aupost can make it :D

                  • @sqheaven: Shucks, that's down to the wire!

                    Fingers crossed :)

                    • @LimeBlueCoffee: Colombian single-O is my new favourite :)

Not sure what I am doing wrong to the Peru for extraction. I haven't tried it much, it's at 2 weeks age. Let's see.

                      Looking to buy more Colombian.

  • +2

really surprised by the quality of Kenya SO i bought and enjoyed very much.
just bought 2kg of Peru expecting no more than excellency from Lime Blue.
After trying 20+ bean makers, Lime Blue has become one of my favourites.

    Keep up your great work!

    • That's wonderful to hear @bryan1217 absolute music to my ears!

Thank you so much for another order and your fantastic vote of confidence, it's truly appreciated and we will keep working to stay in your good books :)

  • +1

    Hi, OP.

Do you have any deals going on some decaf beans (sorry, I know the idea is awful to some).

Unfortunately my body can't physically handle caffeine any more, but still, I love the taste of a good coffee!

    • +1

I asked a similar question above as I find their decaf superb!

      • Morning @Goliegosh thank you so much for sharing that wonderful compliment, really does put a smile on this side of the screen!

Today's your lucky day because we currently have a live deal featuring out "superb" decaf https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/773873 :)

    • +3

Watch this space…LB often has deals on their decaf beans, which are actually rather nice. Mrs. C drinks only decaf and LB beans are definitely one of her favourites.

      • Spot on @Chazzozz three wise words to answer every questions…"watch this space," appreciate the answer assist!

Thanks for the compliment and the one forwarded on Mrs. C's behalf, very happy we're in both of your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there :)

    • +1

Morning @goose25 appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

We tend to focus on one deal at a time, so we didn't have our Decaf on sale when you posted your comment. However, I've got some great news for you, we currently have a live deal featuring our decaf https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/773873 Very happy you're such a dedicated fan to good coffee that your body saying no to caffeine hasn't deterred you from enjoying the flavour of a delicious coffee. Decaf can get a bad wrap, but can still be delicious if treated the right way :)

  • Hi OP, any recommendations for soy milk that doesn't split? My current batch of Kenya beans tend to split more often with soy than the Brazil Sao Paolo beans (which are my fav), not sure if I'm doing anything wrong!

    • +1

I think african beans are more acidic/fruity in general. They work better pourover/black.

Stick with south American and you should be fine

    • +3

Hey @SmashedMango appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

Generally speaking higher acidity levels in coffee can cause textured soy milk to split. Higher growing altitudes tend to result in higher acidity levels in coffee. Two potential solutions, either stick with the Brazil (grown at a lower altitude than our Kenyan coffee) or look for soy milk with an acidity regulator which should prevent splitting. Peru, Moments to Memories and Colombia (if the soy isn't heated too much) should also be fine.

      Hope this helps :)

  • Just bought another 2kg. Thanks OP

    • Fantastic to hear @Twilight1234 Thanks so much for placing another order with us!

  • when will be the next CM batch?

    • @Oxygenzero appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

Our Kenya CM still has a small amount of availability. You're more than welcome to place an order now for dispatch on Monday or a future date on our calendar :)

      • Already purchased a something from previous batch, just looking forward for the next month

  • Just ran out of my existing stash of Brazilian single origin so getting a bag of each to try - never been disappointed yet!

    • Fantastic @Mistymoo seems like perfect timing :)

Thank you so much for placing another order with us and sharing your wonderful vote of confidence, it's truly appreciated!

  • Hi Tom. Want to place an order for delayed shipping, but the only option in June seems to be at the end of the month?

    • Morning @cooleagles sure thing, sounds great!

As mentioned to @litoria above "we're still in the process of figuring out what the start-mid June dispatch will look like. However, we know what the end of June will look like because we have a FBC dispatch happening during that week." You could always select dispatch for the end of May and freeze the sealed bag when it arrives to maintain freshness or wait until more June dispatch availability is posted:)

      • Hi Tom, any update on this yet as today is the last day of the deal. I would like to order for mid June dispatch and would prefer not to freeze the coffee beans. Thanks

        • @littlekd appreciate the check in, an order from you would be fantastic!

The early rest of June won't be finalised for a little while longer, it won't be happening this week. Understand not wanting to freeze if your freezer is choc-a-block. However, if it's from a quality perspective, just put the sealed bag/s in a zip lock bag and then into your freezer, there'll be no negative impact on flavour and grinding the coffee while frozen will actually improve extraction a bit :)

  • -1

Are your coffees graded by a Q grader to provide those scores? Seem pretty inflated for their price.

    • Hey @Anders no harm in asking. Yes, scores are legitimate. Guessing your comments stem from seeing prices other coffee companies charge based on a consumer perspective, as opposed to being a green coffee buyer. As such, it's understandable that you may think "hold up how are these prices possible, when others may charge a lot more for similar graded coffees." We generally sail in our own direction, rather than looking too much at what other companies are doing. Not saying there's anything wrong with focusing on what other companies are doing, it's just not the path we've chosen. In a nutshell our model is, slim margins, with scale, keeps the lights on :)

      • So is it past crop? How much do you guys pay per KG of the Kenyan? What grade is the Kenyan? AB?

        • This deal is for Peru and Colombia. Our Kenya Single Origin isn't part of this deal post and sold out a little while back. We have a positive, glass half full approach, so I'll just assume your line of questioning is general curiosity. It wasn't at that price due to some negative quality, simply put it was just good quality at a good price :)

  • Which is good for latte? I’m finishing off Kenya from last deal.

    • Hey @yamahamoto appreciate you taking the time to check!

Both of these Single Origins work really well as black or milk based coffees. The Colombia has slightly more of an acidity kick than the Peru, so if you really enjoyed the acidity level of the Kenya then I'd say go with the Colombia. That said I think you'll enjoy them both :)

  • hi, are the orders roasted to the selected dispatch date to ensure freshness?

    • Hey @PuntyBrah appreciate the double check!

"We strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting." As such, orders are always sent out nice and fresh, sometimes the day they're roasted, if not within 48 business hours of roasting :)

  • Great deal as always, ordered one of each and looking forward to trying them out.

Do you have a recommended brew temp for these for filter? Also, I'm experimenting a bit with vacuum-sealing and freezing - any tips?

    • +1

Hey @owduck fantastic to hear we're in your good books and thank you so much for placing another order with us, it really does mean so much!!!

Appreciate you taking the time to reach out. With regard to filter brew temp, I'd say go for 94°c. Always love an experiment. If you're fully committed to going all out with the vac seal-freezing, then I'd recommend waiting at least a week, two weeks if possible from the roast date (don't need to wait that long to drink it, just specifically for getting the most out of vac sealing and freezing), pre-portion into individual doses, vac seal and then freeze. Depending on how good your vac seal is, this system has the potential to maintain freshness even beyond a whole year :)

      • Thanks for the tips, I'll give these a go!

  • Hi I placed an order for delivery to WA more than 2 days ago and the tracker is still saying waiting to be picked up by the carrier in Melbourne. I thought this was meant to be express postage. How do I cancel my order?

    • Hey @Positivelypoopoo thank you so much for placing an order with us, it really does mean a lot and is an opportunity we don't take for granted!

Appreciate you taking the time to reach out and that it can be frustrating waiting for tracking to update to real time progress.

You are correct that all orders to WA travel via Express Post and we dispatch as per the date you select. If you have received an email with a tracking it means we dispatched your order on that day. As per the messaging in your tracking email, the first scan you'll see will be after the order has been processed through the first stage of the delivery companies sorting facility. Unless you're very familiar with delivery company systems their wording can be a tad ambiguous. We're able to see more detailed tracking info on our side, when you get a sec could you please send a reply message to your order confirmation email and I'll look into this for you ASAP?

      • Thanks and replied via email. Please check soon. the caffeine withdrawal symptoms are real. I need my coffee ASAP!

        • Thanks for sending through the info, received and replied :)

Just to clarify, you placed your order on Monday afternoon and selected Tuesday's dispatch (yesterday). I've emailed you a screenshot of the tracking showing that we did everything right, by dispatched your order on time and that your parcel is at the Australia Post sorting facility going through the process.

I can appreciate that it can be frustrating when you run out of the good stuff, so future reference Express Post from VIC to WA generally takes 2-4 business days. VIC to other States via Express Post generally takes 1-2 business days. I promise we'll keep a close eye on your tracking and jump into action if the status changes to "delayed" or there's an issue at the Australia Post sorting facility. Right now your parcel is on track and I've got my fingers crossed for a speedy delivery!

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thanks for the quick response, disappointed but I understand it's not your fault Aus Post to WA suck.

I think I'll be buying locally roasted coffee now that I know it takes about a week to get my coffee from order placement.

            • @Positivelypoopoo: Hey @Positivelypoopoo thanks for understanding!

No stress if you need a quicker delivery time. However, we'd love you to stick with us, so if you enjoy our coffee you can always plan ahead using our unique scheduled dispatch system. That way if you see a coffee you a coffee you'd like to lock in at a certain price, your generally able to reserve a dispatch date up to 60 days into the future. You could set a dispatch date roughly a week before you'll run out to be on the safe side. 3 days before if you like to live on the edge haha Completely appreciate life can sometime be too hectic to plan ahead, but thought it was worth a mention :)

  • Hiya team (and fellow ozbargainers) using the Breville Smart Grinder Pro with a Dual Boiler, and struggling to get a good double shot with a single wall filter basket. Anyone have any recommended settings on the grinder? Coffee only 5-7 days old.

    • +1

Hey @exc3113nce appreciate you taking the time to reach out and thank you so much for your recent order with us!!!

Hopefully a small tweak of your settings will make a world of difference :)

When you get a sec please send a reply email to your order confirmation with the following info:

      1) a photo of the coffee puck in the basket right after you've pulled a shot
      2) a photo of the coffee puck right after extraction once it's been knocked out of the basket
      3) what extraction recipe you're going by e.g. dose in, extraction out, contact time, water temp
      4) a quick video of your shot extracting

p.s. out of curiosity, as there's only a single roast date listed on your bag why have you put a roast date range? Thought I should ask incase there's some sort of typo on your label

  • Just a tip for people ordering in the future. Avoid Courier Please at all costs and pay $1 extra for Australia Post.

My beans were supposed to be delivered on Monday 8 May by Courier Please, they never came and tried to claim that they "attempted" to deliver (I was at home all day). I can't even re-arrange a delivery because they didn't leave the delivery attempt card (how can you leave the card when you never came to the property in the first place lol) and trying to re-arrange a delivery with their contact centre has been shocking as well. At this rate, I'd be lucky to get it next Monday.

    • Hey @somebargainhunter77 thank you so much for your order and we do appreciate you feedback!

Completely appreciate how this may be frustrating for you, as it's frustrating for us to even hear about.

Couriers Please have been winning large contracts recently e.g. Amazon. As such they have implemented new sorting machine for accurate efficiency, we've see this result in same day delivery for certain orders. Additionally, further measures as a safety net against poor delivery experience have been implemented. I mention this because 1 safety net is a 3 strike rule. If a situation such as yours is proven, the Couriers Please franchisee will receive a formal warning from head office. Upon the 3rd formal warning they will be stripped of their franchise (business) by Couriers Please. Of course, we don't want a driver to lose their job or franchisee to lose their business
At the same time, we don't want this situation to happen again. You've done everything right and so have we, it's just down to a last mile delivery driver causing this unfortunate situation; we'll do our best to resolve this for you ASAP.

Main thing is that we want to get the good stuff in your safe hands soon.

Ball's in your court, two options:

If you'd like us to file a formal complaint with our CP account manager, could you please send a reply email to your tracking info email with the following?

-A step by of the situation you've experienced
-A photo of the front of your property
-Doorbell video/security camera footage (if available) of the driver not attempting delivery at the time the tracking says they did attempt delivery

If you just like an efficient resolution to the situation, please send a reply email to your order confirmation with the info in your comment. We'll have a detailed look at your tracking and come back with a solution :)
