Bulmawang "Devil of Fire" Spicy Stir-Fried Ramen Has Arrived. 130g X 4, $12.25 @ HanaroMart

Bulmawang, or "Devil of Fire" ramen, self proclaimed the spiciest ramen in the world is now available in HanaroMart. They were selling 4 130g pack for $12.25. Not sure if it's available at all Hanaro Marts but I saw it at their Underwood (QLD) store today. I've always wanted to try it but I had never seen it before at any of the Korean stores that we go to (and we go to a lot). I don't know if I would survive the wrath of my SO, or the spice though.

I just did a quick search and unfortunately it's nowhere near the spiciest but I'm sure it's still got quite the kick at supposedly 14,444 SHU.

          Briefly I could see into the future.

          Seriously though, while it was hot hot, it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting considering what the SHU rating is supposed to be. I did only eat the one pack and my mouth was on fire, and I was sweating like the Jordan Peele meme but I was able to finish it no troubles. I don't know if I could get through 2 packs in a sitting though.

          Maybe my tolerance for spicy food is better these days though. My wife put one noodle on her tongue and spat it out immediately. While the fire in my mouth did die away quite quickly, my stomach didn't feel quite normal after maybe half an hour so I had a glass of milk. We'll see how it comes out I guess…

          I don't know if you can get it from Hanaromart any more. Maybe they only stocked it for a little while as I haven't seen it there for a while, and I checked a few different stores. I had to get my pack from Moa Mart in Sunnybank. It was half price or so, so it worked out better anyway.

          Would I do it again? As long as tomorrow is OK, for sure. It was a pretty fun experience. Maybe I just need to get out more…
