I have some TCN Restaurant Gift Cards bought in 2020. Some of them have a small amount left like $2.19, $2.35, etc.
Tried to buy a $1 thing in McDonald's today. I chose "savings" and typed in the pin following the instruction on the back of the card, but it keeps being Declined. All the cards failed. I am pretty sure it worked before in the same store last year or so.
Has McDonald's changed their code? Does anyone have the same experience?

Nope. Tried it couple weeks ago, it didn't work. Tried again today for the $1 McChicken and still no good. I think KFC stopped working too.
So my guess is they closed the loophole with fast food.
So sad the party ended.
Start a class action like they did with the Coles mastercards not working at various places.

@gao234: i heard they can split payment. i used to use it on Gyg too, but recently they change the manager, unfornately the new manager didnt know how to do split payment. And just try tp split payment between cash and card everytime you eat out, i mean of if its not working but it doesnt hurt to try. Avoid buying TCN restaurant, get The Restaurant Choice gc next time
@ivyholmes: Have you ever successfully used restaurant choice gc in Gyg app? I tried via Applepay or entered as debit card, all got declined.
TCN restaurant did work in the app before, but I don’t have any left to test now.

Restaurant Choice is a definite yes to all fast food I’ve found. The digital one anyway!

The silence makes me think that’s a no to all fast food so I won’t risk it haha. Would have been the digital one which I think is different to the physical anyway?
