I received an email from Kayo advising my 12 months subs is ending this end and that I'll be charged $30/month automatically going forward.
Does anyone know if Optus is extending this offer? I signed up through the Optus portal so Kayo was billing Optus and they don't have my payment details so I'm wondering if I'll be billed by Optus if I don't cancel my subs.

Yeah, I was legit going to cancel and they made my plan significantly cheaper with no lock in.

Sure. It seems like I'm getting the $79 a month plan with 50mbs for 59 a month. They offered to knock 20 off but it turned out I was already getting 10 off.

Downgrade to the Kayo Basic plan and pay using Gift Cards on the 20x Rewards Points offer.
If you have a spare number then you could probably reduce this further by signing up as a new customer, getting the QFF $15/month deal + bonus 1000 Qantas points ($10-20 sign up bonus) and then pay using gift cards.
Assume you hold the subscription for 6 months (NRL season) you would have a total spend of (6 x $15 - $10) x 0.9 = $72, versus the $180 you would be getting by default.
Or look out for someone offering a spot for $10 a month in the classifieds. My 1 year for free (not from the Optus deal) also runs out end of this month but I have access to free Foxtel Go all the time which includes sports so can do without Kayo.

Kayo is a cheap man’s Foxtel, doesn’t even fill the full screen for NRL has a black border using Apple TV, app is hopeless, I put up with it for the season then cancel. $90 or so this year.
i was using kodi ap on XB, but now reverted to laptop via 10m hdmi using edge which gives full screen

I think your chances to some sort of extension is close to zero. Because they actually changed and started charging in May 2022 so you’re probably one of the last few to come off the free inclusion.
