  All we need not are big screen TVs to be made with a USBc video port. And receivers and GPUs with USBc. Maybe 5 or so years.

    Why? This cable doesn't have enough bandwidth for 4K HDR content that HDMI enables.

      Yeah it does. 40Gbps is enough for 4k 120Hz chroma 4.4.4 10bit. Or 8k 60hz chroma 4.4.4 10bit.
      12 bit colour depth requires a 48bit bandwidth.

    Luckily adaptors exist to connect USB C devices to HDMI ports 👍
