Removes up to 99.9% of plaque from treated areas and is up to 50% more effective for improving gum health vs. string floss. The Easy & Most Effective Way to Floss. waterpik is good from my experience, if you have sensitive teeth use warm water in the tank

    These don't do anything, they're a scam

You obviously haven't even tried one - they do a great job at blasting loose random bits of food that were stuck between your teeth.
      The jet is very powerful.

    • They have a place in dental hygiene from experience, maybe try flossing with braces.

I't a bit confused about what you get with the Ultra Plus. Costco have a deal for the Waterpik Ultra & Cordless Plus Waterflosser Pack for $119.98.. Are they the same, or do you get a extra flosser with the Costco pack? One of the pictures on the Chemist Warehouse page is throwing me off a little.

    • Yes you get a cordless unit extra with costco

  • Just get a generic $30 waterflosser from Amazon, does the job.

Have tried a few water flossers over the years, including an older “fixed”/wired waterpik. Most get very messy or are overpriced… The portable waterpik has low flow/strength so I had to return it. Currently using this portable one from Amazon, works a treat, is strong enough and is easy to transport. Charge easily lasts 2 weeks. Works with my spare waterpik nozzles. $41 currently. https://www.amazon.com.au/FYL-Professional-Irrigator-Cordles…

There are a few other generic chinese brands on amazon. I bought a Renpho one as well but it didnt last long. Their support was excellent but its design was prone to failure.

    • That looks good but I can't work out how it charges? Also I bought a Braun Oral-B one which was super weak so I returned it. I had a Pickster Hydropik which died after a month or two but had nice power. How does the output compare?

      • It has a USB-C port and comes with a charger. Ive found that the strength on “strong” to be more than sufficient. Took a while to get used to that.

        • Cheers, have you by any chance seen any with induction charging. I'm a little worried about the USB port getting wet.

          • @GenerallyClumsy: Have had this since Nov last year. No issues so far. I was worried initially too. But its not a major one since it needs charging every 2 weeks (with daily use once a day).

I was also concerned about water flow getting onto the buttons in the front (I like to pause the flow after doing each row). To counter this I just turned the nozzle backwards and use the flosser the other way around.

    • thanks for the heads up odax - i just grabbed one

  • I've tried the Ultra and this Nano and really this one is fine. You get some extra speeds with the Ultra, but I always use it on full.

That portable one from Amazon will be good travelling, so just bought one.

Thanks for this - been waiting for a deal and just pulled the trigger on the nano. My dental hygienist said that if this came out a long time ago he'd see less clients these days. I asked him about the Amazon ones and he recommended the waterpik because they've been tested and he'd be worried about causing gum trauma for ones untested. YMMV
