  • so connect hub's usb c cable to laptop , then hdmi cable connect to this hub and monitor?

can i do this to mobile phone?

like to connect hub's usb c cable to an andriod mobile , then hdmi cable connect to this hub and monitor?

    • You should be able to. I've used my USB-C on my samsung phone to transfer files from an SD card and stuff.

      • -1

Not all USB-C hub works with phone or Google Chromecast TV, this one not sure.

    • +1

Not all phones have usb-c video out capability.

  • this will be the best mate for google TV chromecast

    • You tried?, Not all USB-C hub works with google chromecast TV

    • +1

The product description mentions that it works with "Chromecast with Google TV".

Keep in mind that the power supply provided with your Chromecast provides minimal power (1.5A from memory). To power the Chromecast, USB hub, and any attached devices, it's likely you'll need a better power supply.

      • Good, I didn't read them full myself XD

  • +1

Note the warning about Logitech bluetooth products - the dock may cause signal interference.

  • Gold is sold out. Grey only in stock

  • +5

I only see it at ~$21.59 with the %20 discount?

    • Yep

    • +1

So is this still a good price or?

    • +2

That one doesn't appear to have ethernet. Even tho the first picture shows a ethernet cable it goes no where.

    • +4

Don’t get this one. 60W PD, and 4K @30hz. USB 2.0 port & no Ethernet. Horrific value.

      • Sorry not the same model XD

  • Looking for one with audio jack port.

  • +2

    The Gold one is a different product, 100W vs 60W, 4K @60Hz vs 4K @30Hz.

  • Does this work with phones? I got a different brand dock recently for my phone to plug it into my tv (so I can play retro games on the big screen, but I need at least one extra usb c port) and it ends up cutting in and out every 5-10ish minutes for some reason, so playing on the big screen isn't fun. It works perfectly for my laptop though, but there's another dock we have that works for my phone->tv (but no extra usb c) so I'm not sure if there's something in phones that stop it from working nicely, or if I got a slightly dodgy dock before or what the go is?

    • I also have another brand and while it doesn't cut out, it introduces noticeable input lag. Games that need any kind of reaction time become unplayable…

Interested to know if certain adapter brands work predictably better.

      • How much lag are we talking about? I haven't played any of the games without the tv set up, but for the one that we have the works (without the usb c) there's some lag in the system, but not much - and I don't know if it's the fact that I'm emulating from my phone, have bluetooth controllers or have it plugged in via dock to my tv :P. Thankfully though it's not too much lag, but that's just for simple games like original Mario/Pacman and whatnot - we haven't done anything too much more intensive for it yet

        • +1

Haven't gone scientific and measured it, but i think about 0.1-0.2 seconds? Noticeable where if you try to jump or change direction in a game, there's a noticeable delay.

Interestingly, there's no perceivable delay playing onscreen with touch controls. Also works great when plugged into my usb c monitor… So pretty sure its the dongle?

  • Can I use the HDMI port on this if my laptop USB C port doesn't support display out?

  • +2

I've be burnt too many times with these chinese USB-C adapters. They quite often just stop working after a couple of months. I've had a couple of them not being able to charge anything despite being advertised with PD. My rule of thumb now is to avoid whenever I see 【these brackets】…

    • Normal I only after those known brand

    • +1

Mine still work, but if you try more than one thing they fail. Copying from one USB stick to another USB stick and it just crashes.

  • Can this take a 4k60hz and 1440p60hz monitor at the same time? Using the HDMI slot and USB-C?
