I booked a reward Emirates First Class flight for my dad from Sydney to Christchurch, Qantas Code Share flight
Unfortunately he isn’t a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, it’s not explained clearly, I know there is the Emirates Lounge and the Qantas First Lounge, can he access either or does he need to wait in the transit area?

No need to ask - it is definitely allowed as per the website. Clearly defined on the qantas website.
Yes, he can access the Emirates lounge. No he will not be able to access to QF lounge.
If he's travelling first class I can't see any airline not having lounge arrangements. Also don't forget to tell him to pick up an express pass for immigration/customs (I think they still do that).
Oh you are usually the last to board unless he asks or wants otherwise. The call from the first lounge to walk to boarding seems to be quite close to takeoff.
