The huskee cups look like a good deal here is a reference: https://www.amazon.com.au/s?k=HuskeeCup

However please don't buy these thinking you are doing a good dead.

    https://taniaritchie.com/2019/11/07/the-problems-with-huskee…

In fact, the cups’ primary ingredient is polypropylene, a common, recyclable plastic that is used to make things like your margarine tubs and tomato sauce bottle caps. According to Huskee’s FAQ page, polypropylene accounts for at least half of the cup material, and (according to other sources) as much as two thirds.

Huskee, therefore, has effectively taken two materials, biodegradable husks and recyclable plastic, and combined them into a new material that is neither compostable nor recyclable.

It's a nice feeling cup but these are not environmentally friendly, that said I like them.

  • any single origin beans?

  • What’s with the $30 per kg delivered coffee bean deals?

    • The usual premium 'standard' price ($60 a kilo!?) for the devoted customers, oh then we give you a big discount coupon to make you feel special.

I can't afford beans like this, so back to sub $20 per kilo peasant beans for me. I don't think any beans will blow my socks off at 3x the price.

This kind of pricing IMO just encourages customers to hold off for when there is a discount, instead of just buy it as you know the price is 'right' all the time. Why do you think we all love Aldi coffee beans? It's always the right price so I will just buy it without needing to shop around.

I don't run a roaster business so easy for me to say.

      • I always buy Aldi Lazzio Dark for $11.90 the kg and I am happy. My Breville Barista Impress makes good coffee with the Aldi beans. I used to buy Coffee on Cue beans when they were $32 for the kg delivered. They were nice but not at all 3 times better than the Aldi beans.

Yes, completely agree. I find it hard to justify paying 2-3x price…can't imagine beans taste to blow my mind away 2-3x…

Have a look at Sicilia from Adelaide. They have a more honest pricing.a lot of coffees under $20 per kg. There are 10% discount vouchers around to use. I am a fan of their Italian blend. https://www.siciliacoffee.com.au/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIirbk2OTE…

        • yeah I buy from these guys too.
