[USA] 30-Day eSIM Free Trial (5G Network, 100GB Data, Domestic Calling Only) @ Verizon Wireless

1100

Verizon Free Trial gives you up to 30 days of Verizon service free of charge, including:

Unlimited talk and texting
Up to 100 GB of 4G/5G Premium data* on Verizon's premium network
480p streaming with 4G/5G Nationwide; 4K streaming with 5G Ultra Wideband*

You'll have domestic calling only during the trial. International services and add-on features aren't included.

Can confirm this worked with an iPhone-12 activating from a nomad esim data only plan, not sure if your phone needs an existing plan on it first. I did not need to change countries in the Apple App store, left it as Australian.

You can try the 7-day google fi trial first (works easily on android), but be sure to cancel
https://fi.google.com/about/free-trial

You must be in the US for this to work, myself and others have tried to get it to activate prior to going, it won't work and you'll get an error message saying you've already used the trial

If you don't want to see any more Freebie deals for mobile services in other countries: Click Travel Sim Card tag, then click the ellipsis (…) menu and then check both boxes that appear.

  • I got this to work on 2 phones in May, however both phones had either an at+t or t mobile physical sim already.

Tried it on 2 new phones connected to wifi and both say “you are already on the network”

So unsure if it’s because the Apple ID email has already been used for a free trial, or if the phone needs a sim for an existing network in it to obtain the free trial

Also tried T mobile, I don’t get prompted to get the trial only pay for the line. Visible by Verizon trial wouldn’t work either, when scanning esim says not available or already been installed.

Ended up just paying $25 for visible by Verizon for a month and cancelled auto renew

For the second phone, I did get google fi 7 day trial to work, which I will sign up again after 7 days with a new account to get 2 weeks for free. Google fi you can cancel renewal straight away and still keep the free trial until the 7 days is up

So, this is roaming for me in Mexico… I triggered it in USA and now am spending two weeks in Mexico. Thought I’d need to find a local plan, but I just turned on data roaming and everything appears to be working fine, Telcel LTE at the moment. Don’t want to run a speed test as I don’t actually know what the data allowance is since this isn’t technically a plan inclusion. Will update this comment if I remember with my full experience, but I also want to transfer the e-sim to a new phone shortly so that might put an end to it. Who knows.

    Edit:
Apaprently roams in Canada and Mexico but unsure whether I have a 100gb limit (which will be ignored) or a 2gb high speed limit (which may also be ignored).

    • Are you using an iPhone?

      • Yes.
Confirmed that it roams fine in Mexico on Telcel, and should work fine in Canada too.
        AT&T network is despicable here.

But it’s impossible to transfer the trial sim to another phone, unfortunately, and also impossible to register for a new sim without spoofing your location (US VPN alone is not enough).

        • How did you manage to get it to roam? I’m getting SOS in Canada

          • @ksdazhahs: For anyone else - this would not roam for me - would go SOS no matter what I tried. Worked fine in US

  • When I try to download the “My Verizon” app, it keeps saying “This app is currently not available in your country or region” even though I am in Hawaii right now. I am using iPhone SE2020. Anyone know how to get around this?

  • You need to login to the US App Store

  • You don’t need a separate login. You just need to change your region. This won’t work if you have any Apple Store credit in your account I think.

If you do, then you’ll need a new login for US App Store.

  • Ok thanks guys, unfortunately I have credit remaining as well as subscriptions, I’ll try creating a new Apple ID.

  • I managed to download the app and input my details including a local phone number, then I get to the part where it says “We’re setting up a data plan for your free trial”. The red bar loads almost to the end but then hangs there for like 10 mins and then says “We were unable to process your request”. Anyone else experience this problem?

afaik you NEED to be in the US for this to work. using a VPN alone won’t work. It may work with a GPS spoofer but I wasn’t able to test it.
I didn’t experience this issue, but I know I wasn’t able to sign up again when I wanted to roam in Mexico with a new device.

      • I'm in Hawaii rn and can't get it to work either. It says my device has been used for the trial in the last 12 months.

I can confirm this still works, just used it in NY

    • iphone?

      • Yes. My now-fiancé Jodie Haydon also used it successfully when we were over there

  • I’m going to the US & Canada in a few weeks with my and my wife’s iPhones.

So once I touch down in LAX, I should download the app, sign in for a free trial, away I go?

Can I get the app from the Aussie App Store? Or the US apple store only? Do I need a new US apple account? (Only if I have Apple credit?)

Seems inconclusive whether this’ll work in Canada or not?

    Thanks team

    • Hey, did this work in Canada for you? I'm in USA using it now but heading to Canada tomorrow!

      • It didn’t. USA only.

I went with chatr in Canada - think it was $25 per person

  • Hope this helps someone…

It was quite a ride for me to get free e-sim working for me once I as in Los Angeles on beginning of October.
I tried with Iphone 15 Pro and Google Pixel 6 Pro.

Using hotel WiFi. I had to change Google play store / IOS app store country to USA ( Needed to add an USA Address while changing country) and then I could download the apps. Even then somtime the phone network app would not show up properly in app store / play store.

    • T-Mobile: eSIM | 3-month | Unlimited | Free/$0 trial - Could not get it working. Some random and sometime showing this offer is not for me.
    • Visible by Verizon: eSIM | 15-day | Unlimited | Free/$0 trial - Did not work. Sign up process detected by IMEI number that the phone was NOT from USA.
    • T-Mobile: eSIM | 3-month | Unlimited | Free/$0 trial - Got this working after trying for a day or two. Random error. Only I could get it working after I managed to get a valid USA mobile number (which I got by using the Google Fi 7 day deal). Once the sim was working, it was a pretty good experience. Network coverage was average. Did not work in Canada.
    • Google Fi: 7-day | Unlimited | Free/$0 trial - Got this one working on first try. Amazing experience for the whole signup. Took only a minute. But I think you do need to have a gmail account.
