  • Ordered, let's see how it goes. Thanks

    • 🤞

      • 🤞🤞

Might have preferred a flat one for under the seat, but this will do for the price.

Edit: doh didn’t see the “althea” deal below.

  • +2

so….the actual 'spare tyre' goes in the backseat?
    lol!

    • +11

Lol, no need for that as it can fit in the centre of the spare tyre.

      • well that makes more sense…
still if you get rid of the spare=bigger sub=more power!!!

      • +9

i drive a 1987 Landcruiser. what's the point of a sub woofer hanging off the back of my tailgate?

Planning on putting mine under the tub of my dual cab

Its 2am in Perth….and I'm doing nightshift on a mine site in the middle of nowhere, buying a subwoofer that fits in my spare tyre from Ozbargain.

its 2023….this is perfectly normal behaviour.

    • Awesome bought 2

      • Nice. Is it easy to do Install or need to visit shop ?

"Underseat Subwoofer". I wonder how this will impact sperm count

      • I would say a severe impact. The wife has zero count.

    • +3

Is it me or does it not look like those portable stove for camping?

A lot of cars come with the wire under the seat to connect this straight into, the modern 2017+ Suzuki's all do despite the fact its only a factory option for the swift sport.

      • Do you know where I can read up more on this? I have a base model '19 Swift (GL Navigator) and have been meaning to do something about the subpar sound quality for a while. If there's already pre-existing wiring under one of the seats then it'd be good to run that by whichever professional is going about the speakers/sub install and (hopefully) make their lives a little easier.

Not that I've spent an awful lot of time looking under the seats, but I had assumed the wire that I saw there was just for triggering the in-seat airbags in a collision.

      • +1

      • like to include a built in amp based on reviews

    • @shrapse @Flognuts

      I hope to it delivered.

    • Thanks Flognuts, got the high end front speakers. What did you get for rear speakers? Can the front end ones be used for the rear also ?

    • pissed I missed this after checking before bed last night, massive savings.

    • +1

Make sure you get the latest firmware for the head unit. I've had mine for over 3 years. use to be glitchy AF. Latest firmware fixed all the issues.

Quite many good deals on Kenwood stuff especially speakers and subwoofers.

Some are up to crazy 80% off. Sounds like price error.

Definitely, just don't forget wheel balancing and alignment.

  • How to tell is this subwoofer is compatible with a certain system already installed on a car?

    Thanks!

    • -1

How to tell is this subwoofer is compatible with a certain system already installed on a car?

      Does you car have speakers?

  • +1

Didn't think I'd be buying $1000 worth of speakers for $200 today. Gotta love Ozb.

Crap forgot amp, looks like 20+ order made in 10 mins. I look forward to the salty cancelled orders posts.

  • +2

Welp just bought 1.2k of speakers, subs and amps lol. Doof doof yo

    • I did the same. If they turn up i know i'll keep them in the garage and use them in future cars.

  • I see a lot of cancellations in peoples future (including mine)

    • +2

They just borrow our money overnight….then take a week to refund

      • +1

They are borrowing afterpays money in my instance

    • +1

I see a lot of people with future hearing loss

  • How much is it worth getting an amp? Already ordered speakers and a subwoofer.

    • +1

Don't know why I bothered thinking about it. That's just bad bargaining

  • Been eyeing the Kenwood underseat sub for years and finally got one for really like dirt cheap. So patience do pays off? Woohoo!

    Thanks OPeeee….

It seems prices have reverted to original.

Someone in the SCA online team is going to have a busy morning thats for sure

  • +1

One day chatGPT can do the order for us. Then SCA online team can hire another chatGPT to undo all the sales and give out $50 vouchers. Hacking is the future.

  • Fully sick

I'd avoid the android deck - it looks garbage

  • Buy first, think later.

My spare wheel on the back door so people on street can hear my doof doof doof

  • +5

Looks like they're having a 20% off sale but someone has entered the discount amount as the price. Good luck to those that have put in an order.

    • They're also "special order", so it's not stock they have in store.
      Highly likely to be cancelled.

I'll pay with afterpay so if its cancelled, I don't have to wait for any money to be refunded :)

  • +1

    OZBARGAINED

  • already have alpine type rs in all my cars, need to fight the temptation

  • Thank you! I needed to replace a head unit and speakers in a car and got them

  • What’s the difference between the two high end 6.5” speakers?
The cheaper one can “handle” more power?

  • Does Supacheap do the installation?

    • Why not learn to do it yourself? That’s the real ozbargain way

      • Why don't I do it myself? Reason being, got a professional do my Focal system installation and don't wanna take the risk and do a half bake job.

Tbe savings I made can go to the experts. Win win for everyone. Sharing is great. 😎

        • Why would you do a half baked job? Are you traditionally useless at DIY projects?

          • @MS Paint: That's actually my specialty. I do everything and learn anything, but every now and then, just wanna sit back and sip some bourbon while others do the hard yakka.

            So why not this time?

            • +1

@pacificstorm: But it's not hard yakka. It's easy and rewarding.

              • +2

@MS Paint: Not if you have a bum ( frozen) shoulder like I currently have both. It will be hard and painful indeed. Believe you me.

Plus, already did my share of audio installations back in the days of the Escorts, XA and XB hardtops and later. So I know what's installed.

                • @pacificstorm: I installed a full system in my first car - Escort RS2000. Thanks for the memories. Acceess to wires was much easier in those days. Pity ISO plug and play had yet to be invented though.

              • +1

                @MS Paint:

                It's easy and rewarding.

So you want to come and do mine for free? It 's easy and rewarding…

              • @MS Paint: I don't know jack about cars or car audio, to the point that I can't tell the snake from the oil. Is there a way that you would recommend starting to learn about installing this gear?

                • +1

@Realest-Whale: There are so many variables as each car has slightly different trim and wiring options. I suggest you search on YouTube for radio swap tutorials specific to your vehicle.

  • Do I really need it? No. Bought something anyway? Hell yes

    • +1

I don't even have my license, let alone a car…and I still bought them.
What the hell has my bargain addiction become…

  • haha what a crazy price. can i hook up the boot sub too my stock 2008 corolla head unit?

    • +4

      You tell us Supercheap worker

  • Team. I have a 2022 Hyundai Kona with a 160mm diameter existing speakers in the front and back doors. Am I missing something that any of these won't fit being 6.5" or would they all come with adapter brackets? Probably a stupid question but would super appreciate any help!

  • +3

Instead of 20% discount someone did 80% discount(85.8/429), not sure if these will be cancelled.

  • Damn, I'm tempted to sell my 12 inch and downsize to this as it doesn't get much use and it'd save space in my boot lol.

  • Ordered a few things, waiting for it all to be cancelled.

  • +8

The party is over guys. Prepare for refunds…

    • NOOOOOO

      but yeah not surprising

    • I want the interest I lost aswell. Also gift cards for pain and suffering.
