Alright, this is 3 deals in one but essentially $80 bonus for minimal effort - and doesn't appear to be a terrible product offering.

  • Sign up with a referral (see referral system), deposit min $10 and get a $5 bonus in Class X Units. Referrer also gets $5 bonus in Class X Units. For every successful referral, Super Obvious will donate a combined 25 mangrove trees to coastal communities in Kenya via the Million Mangrove Challenge campaign on OnlyOne*
  • Make a deposit >$500 with code JUMPSHIP and receive $50 bonus Class X Units [Expired]
  • Make a deposit >$100 with code CHEERS and receive $25 bonus Class X Units

Referral doesn't appear to have expiry, the CHEERS expires 30 April 15 May; JUMPSHIP 23 April.

If your investment meets the Eligibility Criteria, your Bonus Units will be given to you within 10 business days of meeting the Eligible Criteria. The number of units you receive will be determined by the unit price on the day on which the Bonus Units are processed and issued to you. As the unit price may vary, investors who participate in the same promotion may receive different amounts of Bonus Units.

Super Obvious is a Microinvesting app, similar in spirit to Spaceship etc (no min account balance, recurring investment features etc). Only offers 1 ethical portfolio called the Everest fund (managed by Ellerston Capital), details here: https://www.superobvious.com.au/everest

No fees on accounts <$1000; $2/month on accounts larger than that. Fund itself has indirect admin cost of 0.21%.

    The fund itself also has a 0.21% management fee. For reference VGS charges 0.18%.

      Indirect costs are costs that are shared among all investors in the fund and are deducted from the fund’s assets before calculating the net asset value (NAV), which is the value of one unit in the fund. These costs are not charged separately to you but are already taken into account when you receive the Unit Price for your investment.

      There is no mention about how long it needs to be kept so I assume you can withdraw straight away

These costs are not charged separately to you but are already taken into account when you receive the Unit Price for your investment.

      We do not charge any deposit or withdrawal fees. There is a $2/month subscription fee if your balance is $1000 or more for the month.

  • Your exposed to market up/downs while waiting up to 10 business days to receive bonus. That said pretty likely to get a great return. I’m doing it.

    I’m impressed, really easy to do. App that actually makes it clear that you have used a promo code. You give your bank details and they debit it to fund your one off investment, both my 100 and 500 investments are being withdrawn on the 25/04.

      Did you get the bonuses immediately to know you can withdraw on 25/04?

        No bonuses only appear after 10-12 business days (so nearly 3 weeks if you include ANZAC day)

        Yeah takes time. 25/04 is when Super Obvious is withdrawing my cash to fund the 2x investments.

        • Funds were taken out from my bank account last night (signed up on 20/04 when this was posted), despite also seeing funds will be taken out on 25/04.

          Funds were taken out via direct debit so it hit on my overdraft. Not happy with this as I will likely be charged an overdraft fee now :(

            I'm sorry to hear that your account has been overdrawn. The whole process to direct debit your account, receive the funds and then invest takes up to 3 business days, however, it is initiated straight away. This means that your funds can be debited at any time after we receive the authorisation. I understand where the confusion may have occurred and will work with our development team to provide more clarification on the confirmation screen which gives you the estimated time frame.   • Never heard of these guys before, and their name at first I thought referred to superannuation. Bit of branding confusion there.

    Hard to find any discussion about them on the net; this deal post is one of the only ones. Not sure how trustworthy they are. How did you find out about them?

      they seem pretty legit - pretty affordable $2 subscription I think only when balance is over a thousand bucks. nice that they invest only ethically too

      I emailed their support about this happening to me too and they replied that they would manually add the jump ship $50 once the appropriate amount have been deposited.
