Sign up with Code and Make 3 Eligible Card Purchases in 30 Days to Get $40 Bonus Deposit @ ubank App (New Customers Only)

1170
BONUS40

Got an email from Finder. Similar to the previous deal except it's $10 less and the minimum 5 purchases have reduced to 3.

The “Finder Welcome Bonus” offer is available to new customers who open an account using an eligible code before May 31 October 23, 2023, and who make 3 purchases using their ubank debit card (including digital wallets) within 30 days of opening an account.

The offer is limited to one bonus payment per customer. Customers who were previously a ubank customer and closed their accounts within the past 12 months are not eligible for this offer.

The Finder Welcome Bonus offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer (unless we determine otherwise).

Only settled card purchases are eligible to meet the bonus criteria. This means we must wait until each card payment has been settled (no longer showing as “pending” in your transaction history) before you become eligible for the bonus payment. Each card purchase and transaction settlement must occur within 30 days of opening an account.

Eligible customers will receive a payment of $40 into their Spend account within a few days of fulfilling the bonus criteria.

There are always a few people who will try to game the system, so here are some fair play conditions.

We retain the absolute right to refuse to pay or cancel a “Finder Welcome Bonus” payment without notice to you. The reasons for us to refuse or cancel a payment may include, but are not limited to, if:

  • we believe that your access to the ubank app is or may be fraudulent.
  • we believe that you have threatened the security of ubank.
  • we believe you have breached any of the ubank General Terms.
  • we believe you are acting in bad faith.
  • we have closed your account.

Your account contains unpaid charges or is overdrawn.
We also retain the absolute right to stop the offer at any time and to change the conditions or incentive of the offer.

  • Nice.

Are this and Virgin Money the only ones doing (sizeable) intro bonuses right now? Same for referrals.

    • Same for referrals.

Shit, wish I didn't refer 8 people over the last 3 years, without knowing there was a referral program lol

      • You probably didn't miss out on much, ubank only started their referral program a few months ago.

      • +3

how do you get people to use products, when i tell them, they say its too much work

    • +2

MyState bank had a good one
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/753793

      • I missed that one, their interest rate is also not bad.

  • +4

Easy money this one with ubank. Bonus came through swiftly for me. IMB on the other hand …. Nada

    • +2

I signed up with IMB, but they want me to sign the paper with JP. this is too much effort

      • Yeah that sounds too hard, lots of people had issues like that. I stand corrected, got the $50+ in my account fine, didn't realise that bonus comes in 15 days after 21st April. Almost there 🥵

  • +5

I signed up with the previous offer. Very happy with ubank, great app/ website and the cashback came through very quickly after meeting the requirements 👍

  • What is the minimum for the 3 eligible card purchase to qualify?

    • +3

No minimum, just split payment at supermarket self checkout to qualify in one visit.

      • alternatively if you use Beem, you can pay a mate 3x $1 and then theoretically get back $3. It's essential you trust them with your life otherwise your wallet will regret it forever

  • +4

Effectively taking referrer's $20. Good deal for new signups without referrer.

  • +4

For those who got migrated from old ubank, check your email you also get $50 bonus after 3 transactions.

    • My legacy uBank accounts were recently merged into my existing uBank (formerly 86400) profile.
Maybe that is why I didn't receive this offer. =(

      • Mine were merged into my existing profile and I got the bonus a few days later. My existing profile was created after 86400 became ubank though, but I don't think that would make a difference.

      • So were mine, but I received this offer too

        • +1

Found the email. I skipped it after reading the subject line: "Get the most of our ubank app".

          Questions:

          1. Does it matter which spend account I use?

          2. This wording is confusing: "settled within 30 days of receiving an SMS from us saying you’re ready to upgrade"
I assume the start date is when you first receive the email / SMS that your legacy UBank accounts will be upgraded in the next 2 weeks?

          • @DoctorCalculon: No2
Not that sms, but the sms says "yours have been upgraded, download new app activate the card and start using it"

      • Give it a few days, I thought I wasn't going to get it but I did.

      • Hi @DoctorCalculon, out of interest when your accounts were merged did you keep your old 86400 BSB and account number on the new account once it merged? Thanks.

        • +1

did you keep your old 86400 BSB and account number on the new account

          Yes.
They just moved the legacy UBank accounts over to my existing UBank (formerly 86400) profile.
All accounts now have the same BSB ending in 864.

          • @DoctorCalculon: Thankyou :)

            • @17833: I still can't believe the new platform won't allow you to use the app to generate a 2FA code, which the legacy app allowed you to.

              • @DoctorCalculon: @DoctorCalculon
Yes that's very true! new ubank app(probably a rebrand old 86400 app) doesnt have many great features old ubank app had(even though the apps looked ancient they had enough useful functions). They removed sweeping and that stopped all my scheduled payments! And they didnt even send a notification of a failed transaction! I am already thinking of going back to ING though I hate all the barriers they put up and very low limits on transactions but at least the web app and mobile app is far superior to this kindergarten app ubank "upgraded" to! So disappointing.

                • @gamma: Even if the legacy uBank app was ancient, it was far superior in many ways compared to this 86400 rubbish clone we are forced to use.

Can I just pay off 3 Afterpay payments do be eligible?

  • Lol, finder stealing the missing 10 bucks.

  • +1

So do I get referral $30 + $40 sign up bonus if I’m a new customer?

    • You have to choose…

  • +2

If I closed account previously like 2 years back, Can I open again?

    • Sure you are:

The offer is limited to one bonus payment per customer. Customers who were previously a ubank customer and closed their accounts within the past 12 months are not eligible for this offer.

      • But when i install app i cannot see any option to signup. Its going to login page.

  • I legit signed up yesterday…………..

and havent got to get the bonus money yet

    • Have you done your 3 transactions and have they moved from pending? They state it takes some days until they pay the bonus. It is only 1 day since yesterday!

      • I worded my comment very poorly. Apologies.

I had signed up to Ubank yesterday with their current offer of $20 sign up. Now it is a $40 signup so wondering if I hadn't received the $20 yet if I could get the new $40 offer?

  • I got 20 dollar bonus , this offer just getting better

  • what are some creative ways to make the eligible purchases online that's less than $1 or 50c? Last promo, I literally bought 3 apples separately in 3 transactions at a Coles self-checkout to make this work lol

    • +4

Split payments at self checkout is even better. One plum paid in 3 split payments is the win

      • +1

haha brilliant. But I'm talking online where I don't even need to goto a supermarket.

    • I can pay my origin energy 1c at a time. And council rates. Maybe look into that.

      • Just want to confirm for anyone new signing up. You just need to do 3 transactions. I bought 2x bananas from Woolworths and then paid 1c to my council rates. I could have just done 3x 1 cent for council rates really.

    • You can try Amazon if you have prime…. A Reeses bar is 90c delivered just make three separate purchases… I'm sure if you try you can find cheaper things on Amazon.

Thanks! It's time to join Ubank.🤑🤑🤑

    Bonus50 seems to work.

    • Lol you signed up with that?

    • +1

      Did you get $50?

  • +1

Just got my $40. Signed up 20.4. made 3 Afterpay payments on same day and got it 23.4.

    • how did you get your card so quick?

      • +1

I didn’t get the card yet. I just added the card to my phone wallet and paid to afterpay.

        • Can you please elaborate a bit? How do I pay to afterpay from the phone wallet? Thank you.

  • ok finally got the email about migration.
    no sms yet

    • I received new debit card, but no email or SMS yet. Confused.

  • Waiting for their 0.25% increase in interest

  • +2

BONUS50 Works, just got it today $50

    • Nice. What is the minimum number if transactions for the bonus50 offer?

      • +1

        I just did 3 transactions

        • +1

Thanks mate. I will give it a shot then 🙂

    • Did you signup with BONUS50 recently, after code expired on 22 April or I could be wrong that BONUS50 is still valid?

  • +2

    Just an update.

The BONUS50 code actually works. Both asc and Aquastella were right it does work.

My mum signed up the other day and did 3 separate transactions at Woolies and the $50 bonus came through sometime this arvo she told me. She paid with Google Pay.

When I researched this online I couldn't find any terms of the BONUS50 deal so who knows whether it is working as of now.

  • Can also confirm that BONUS50 still works. Just received $50 bonus today.
