Soundbar around $600

Currently JBL bar 5.0 is about $349 from Myer. Any feedback on this soundbar?
Unless you live in a thin-walled high-density dwelling, don't get a soundbar without a sub. And if you live somewhere where a sub can't be used, still get one for when your circumstances change
We have a Sonos Beam 2 and love it.
Some say it's overpriced crap, but this Bose one is pretty good (in my opinion).
Just called TGG, they don't have JBL bar 5.0 in stock, it is discontinued.
If you can allocate $673 and desire Dolby Atmos, have a look at Polk Magnifi Mini AX
I purchased the Samsung Q700B (box-damaged from Samsung eBay for $330) and am very impressed with it. Looks like JB have it on sale for $499 (not super cheap). https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/samsung-q-series-q700b-3-…
Like other comments, would not recommend anything without a subwoofer.
I picked up a used Samsung Q800B on gumtree for less than $400, still has about 6 months wt and original purchased receipt.
Nice! Should be awesome!
Any sound bar that relies on 5cm diameter drivers (e.g. practically all sound bars) will be vastly inferior to a pair of bookshelf speakers.
Buy once, cry once. Get the sonos beam
I'm also in the market looking for a set up at that price range. I saw the 3.1.2 ones but I'm hoping for a surround sound setup. I'm happy to sacrifice the .2 Atmos for another 2 rear speakers. So just wondering if it's possible get a 5.1 set up at this price range? I'm happy to pay a few extra hundreds if that means I can get it. Just don't wanna spend over $1000. A 5.1.2 would be more preferable.
I am not an expert as well, so I really like the Q800b. The Q600b, and Q700b is as good as the Q800b.
I picked up a Samsung Q930B on the 16th of March for $760 and rewards points brought it down to $616. If you buy at the right time and message them for a loyalty discount you can get a great price.
Albeit, my order has been delayed 2 times since then. The courier didn't ring my doorbell on the expected delivery date either, so I'm only going to receive it on June 8. Waiting nearly 3 months is an enormous pain, especially when it's available for same day C&C at any retail store. At least I saved nearly $600 on it though.
That sounds like a great deal to me. I will look out for that deal too then. Where did you score that deal? Or is it quite common at various places?
I got it direct from Samsung. The soundbar was 40% off in March and I asked for a loyalty voucher (15%) on top of that. It shouldn't be too long untill another sale, Samsung are constantly doing them.
Want to spend less? Affordable, excellent Yamaha $369
